Came here for our last dinner in Ireland as our airport hotel eatery looked like a hospital cafeteria. Even though it was a monday night, we were concerned that they were not open because we were the only customers! But the server told me they had just opened, so that could explain the impromptu private dining room. Inside the space is sleek and modern with neutral earth tones, contemporary fixtures, and black and white photos of the«ingredients.»(i.e. cows, pigs, chickens) We ordered a Spanish rioja since we knew we were ordering a steak. Our waiter wrapped a napkin around the neck of the bottle after presenting it and pouring for us. I know its not a big deal, but its little touches like that which help elevate your dining experience. We were also served brown bread and butter with the wine. We ordered the pan fried tiger prawns and king scallops. They were fresh and excellent with grilled flat portobellos and asparagus. My only criticism was that the prawns were on the small side, but other than that a nice starter. We both ordered the special«steak on the stone» for € 18 with a choice of either sirloin and or filet. The steaks are delivered to your table on a steaming hot lava rock and you can cook your steak to your desired done-ness. It comes with peppercorn sauce, mushroom sauce, garlic butter and chunky potato chips(or fries). We enjoyed the experience of getting to cook our own steaks, but I did have to ask what the sauces were instead of the server telling us. But they’ve only been open 3 weeks so perhaps they will work out these small kinks. Overall, a great dining experience, and I would definitely come back if I needed a good dinner close to Dublin airport.
