Sweet mother of Jeebus, my ever increasing waist-line did not need this discovery. But discover I did. It makes me sound like an intrepid explorer, bravely overcoming all the elements and impossible climbs the Stillorgan shopping centre and mother nature can throw at me, but in truth, it is a little less dramatic. OK, a lot less, I parked the car and walked in to baked good heaven, my pictures do not do it justice. There is any amount of fresh breads, a little island in the middle with bakers decorating cakes and such an array of cakes, buns, éclairs and tarts that I could barely bring myself to make a choice. I settled for a cream filled doughnut, it was spectacular, huge and only 2 euro. Q wobbles out of shop, in a penguin like manner shouting«I’ll be back!» to anyone who will listen. Children start crying. Q’s belt starts crying. .

I came across this bakery a few months ago and have been a regular customer since then. Hands down the best muffins in dublin. I loved their donuts, tarts, and brownies as well. They do make all types of bread too if youre not looking for a sugar fix. I also tried ordering a customized cake that was done on time and looked exactly like the one i asked for. It didnt taste as good as it looked unfortunately. Nevertheless, will definitely keep coming for the delishhhhh goodies here!

So when I think of a bakery, I think of a warm sweet smelling atmosphere with cakes and breads and treats as far as the eye can see! This Bakery is like a Bakery Bachelor Pad. It’s laid out to feel like a factory, with the bakery prepping food in the middle of the floor, which could be a really cool feature if it wasn’t so sterile and cold! The bakery is decorated in Black and glass surfaces. Everything is in large glass cubes and the baked goods themselves feel so incredibly out of place! Now there services seem good, they had a good selection of buns like American donuts and macaroons but the atmosphere just is so off putting. Now maybe your thinking the style is just not to my taste but I could possibly had overlooked this if the service wasn’t so shockingly rude! The line to look at there cakes etc is the same line for payment an you get basically shouted Next at until you pick what you want. It was really rude an led us to pick the nearest looking item in front of us. So when I got to the till I noticed that they had bar style seating, really uncomfortable looking an combining that with there take away coffee cups it certainly didn’t make me want to stick around. So I took my donut and sat outside on a bench to eat it. The donut itself was nice but the icing was really sickly, it was so overly flavoured and made me feel like I was eating sticky playdough. My experience here was so disappointing as I love me a good bakery. Instead of me running through all the stars I didn’t give, I’m going to explain the 1 star I did. This star was for the cake displays in the window. There cake decorators seem very talented, maybe too talented for a place that represents them like this.
