Food was average but the service was very poor. Very Rude bar staff. Certainly left a bad last impression of Ireland in my mind before boarding my flight.

It is the airport, after all. My expectations were in check. But, this was decent food and the view was very nice. At the very least, I was super excited to order something other than a typical Irish breakfast. The Mexican eggs with Chorizo was a nice change of taste. The egg was over medium and I’d prefer them over easy, but the spicy Chorizo and tomato sauce were satisfying. Hubby ordered the Irish Smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs bowl. I guess there’s an egg issue here because his were«blah» as he claims. Daughter had the Bacon & Sausage Blaa(roll) and she gave a thumbs up!

Service was fine and staff were nice enough but trying to get in a fry before a flight I nearly needed a chain saw to cut through the bacon. Try to cook the food closer to time of eating folks.

The irish breakfast here is the best!!! Good quality bacon, delicious eggs… For € 9.95 at both here and harvest market, the Slaney definitely wins. And I think the traditional for € 10.95 looks like it just has black pudding and mushrooms added.

Fast, pretty good food, good beer. Not too expensive. Not bad for airport chow. My club sandwich was good, and quite filling. Wife had the BLT, same thing. She’s taking the 2nd half with her on the plane. Nieces had burgers and BBQ wings, and we’re all smiles. If we find ourselves in Dublin again, we’d stop here. I recommend it.

I’ve eaten here before and always had a good experience. Today however my friends and I waited over half an hour for porridge and when we requested to cancel our order and get a refund we waited another 10 mins and were told they wouldn’t give us a refund but instead would give us takeaway. The porridge ended up taking over 40 mins in total to arrive and then was cold and rubbery. Don’t waste your time or money at this pointless«restaurant.»

Solid place for a quick drink or bite to eat before heading to your terminal. The rents and I settled in here after going through security and wanting to relax before heading our separate ways. My parents both got an Irish coffee which I’m pretty sure made their flight back to the states enjoyable. I got a standard glass of Chardonnay, but a nice enough portion to have me feeling nice and relaxed after a long week of traversing the Irish roads with my American Sized SUV. Staff was incredibly friendly, and there was plenty of seating.

Preis-Leistung: no-go

Overpriced, bad quality food, and truly obnoxious staff. One female bartender in particular should not be customer facing.

If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat while you have a stopover in Dublin, The Slaney is the best pick. I had a few hours to kill while waiting to board my flight to Paris and had a nice little brunch in the mean time. I ordered the eggs florentine, which was surprisingly quite good! Much better than I had originally expected(we’re talking airports here, people!). Also, the best part about The Slaney is that there are several circular seating areas that have loads of outlets for you to charge your phone, laptop, electronics and so forth in. Airports are the worst for finding places to plug in your electronics and The Slaney makes it quick, simple and easy! Try ‘em!

This place was so so close to getting a 4 star rating until my last visit when they ran out of chicken wings & offered me a mish-mash of chicken wings & their homemade sausages… It was absolutely vile & had I not had such good experiences before that I wouldn’t ever go back there. The first time I visited just a week previously I had a lovely mushroom risotto for dinner which was just slightly more greasy than I would have liked… Perhaps a little too much Olive Oil. I don’t find the service too poor but as far as airports go this is probably a little slower than I would have liked so if you are of a nervous disposition or in a rush may be best to avoid!

Wish I had checked Unilocal before I ordered!!! There is a Burger King on the second level and I should have gone there for a burger. The one at the Slaney was soft, un-tasty beef or at least I think it was beef. But since I had 5 hours between flights I wanted to sit down and eat at a nicer restaurant than BK. I know everything is overpriced in an airport, but this is one that is overpriced and underwhelming. Try the food court upstairs if you want something better than this.

Awful really is the only thing to say about the food. Nice staff. Not staying for coffee. The view of the runway is nice. I only ate here as my flight is two hours delayed so I’m here for another five hours. The airport in general has bad food. No gluten free bread in this day and age

Sat there for 10 mn at 8:30, 3 different waiters busily walked around, never noticing, let alone cleaning, my table, one ignored me when I asked if I could order. I left — airports cafés aren’t always the best, but this one could hardly do worse.

Worst food ever! Three of us ordered the same thing, served as the same thing but were all different! Everything is loaded with mayo and some barbecue sauce. Nobody in our party of six was happy!!! Two out of sick got sick. Go somewhere else if you want to eat. Great for a drink. Good band playing.

It’s an airport bar/restaurant. But it’s not too shabby. Service was quick and the food was tasty. Nothing amazing, but very much hitting the spot when my brain was confused as to why the sun was out when it thought it was 4am and why was I so tired?!

I would say that this place is the best deal in the Dublin airport to eat while you are waiting for a flight. There are not many other options… This is the only«sit down» restaurant and it priced almost the same as the other places to eat. Just go to the bar, place your order, take your number and drinks with you and you will be served at your seat. The club sandwich was pretty good and to my surprise I go sour cream and onion(or at least I think it was) flavored chips(crisps) with it instead of boring old plain chips.

It’s a café in an airport and like many others expensive, average quality and lacks a bit of service. The food is largely Pre-prepared and the choices limited.

MUCHMUCH better than its neighbour(Harvest Market), better food, better coffee. Unfortunately there is a trade off, the service is shocking!!!, only order from here if you are very organised and have time to play with! top tip for breakfast — order the childrens egg, toast & bacon(plus juice) for a fiver, more than enough for an adult.

On doing a straw poll with Irish friends and acquaintances at home and abroad I noted my theory about what we are like to each other on foreign ground or in airports holds some merit due to several folks experiencing the same issues as I shall outline now. We make ourselves out to be such a friendly welcoming race of people yet we seem to avoid each other when abroad or be rude especially in the service industry. I don’t know why, I think it’s a competitive thing or I’m sure there is something deeper to it, forgetting our past — who knows. The second place we are hostile to each other is like now, in the airport. At this spot it reminds me like what it’s like abroad as in the service staff are all, «Bejaysus ain’t it great that I’m Irish — how are yah? Where yah from? Ah sure we love the craic!» If you have a foreign accent. If you are Irish you are treated with mild contempt. Again I personally don’t have a bee in my bonnet about this and it’s been said to me so many times in various settings by friends and acquaintances a like, so I find it interesting. Yet like most things in Ireland we don’t talk about things outside the«home», cause«sure what would people think?» Frankly as Rhett says I don’t give a damn. Food is OK as airport food goes. Lovely big windows. Tepid inoffensive music on the air waves. And like I outlined above Irish service staff hating on the Irish, we are a mystery race that is for sure.
