If not for the horrible service this restaurant would have gotten 3 stars. Do not, I repeat, do not expect great service. Do expect to be grunted at, ignored or just be the recipient of feeling as if you are an inconvenience to the bartender/waitstaff. The food was good. I had the steak. The mushroom and onions were delicious. I do have to say that if you want the best steak in Dublin go to The Winding Staircase. My companion had the fish and chips. She reported it was very tasty; however, Leo Burdock was hands down much better.

This is a nice gastropub with delicious food for great value. Their lunch menu is amazing — they have a steak sandwich for 7.50 and delicious Fish Tacos for 9.50. Downstairs is a little bit on the small side so can get a bit crowded at lunchtime, but I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

It’s mad how a lick of dark grey or black paint and some decent lighting can transform a space! This is a very classy and settling space, just under Tara Station, where I could see many a person miss their train and the next one too in honour of a nice cosy pint and the next one too. I stopped in and had fish and chips which were whopper. Nice thick cut chips with the skin still on them, good fresh beer battered fish, and lovely thick homemade tartare sauce. All the makings of a great meal. I’ll be back!

What a great little place to enjoy a pint or wine before getting on the train. My only gripe is they aren’t open for the whole day! It replaces the only dingy place of Kennedys and revamped to a cozy bar that serves a variety of food(I’ve yet to sample) but the staff are friendly and the ambiance is nice. Will def be back! I just hope they don’t close between lunch and dinner as I would love to wait for my train here!
