Great spot for brunch. Portions were huge, maybe too filling. Staff were very friendly and polite. The mix of nationalities there on a Sunday morning was a good indication of how word about this place has spread. No hesitation in recommending.

This place does a damn fine brunch. Only problem is that everyone knows that now and it can be hard to get a table here. I’ve been here quite a few times now, just for brunch. I intend to get back here at some point to try out their dinner menu, as if it was as good as the brunch this place could potentially become one of my favourite restaurants. I usually go for the breakfast, with a side of hollandaise(cos whoever managed to turn butter into thick sauce deserves god status). Their breakfast is definitely one of the best in the city. I have tried most of the dishes on the bunch menu by now(except the waffles which have been sold out when I have tried to order them). Most things on the menu are delcious and amazing, except for their chicken wings, which are average at best. Problem is I love chicken wings, and it always makes me sad to see a place that does otherwise good food get chicken wings wrong. Hopefully one day this place will step up to the chicken wing plate and start doing some damn tasty buffalo wings. Writing this review I am already getting cravings for another one of their breakfasts now.

Everyone is of course perpetually on about how amazing Whitefriar Grill is — and I have to say I agree — with the small caveat that service could be slightly friendlier. But still professional and no complaints! Came here for brunch a few weekends ago and I’m still thinking about their crab cakes and english muffin dish… Got to get back just for that! The check-in and free bellini deal is key. It’s a bit nicer than the average café brunch spot and really lovely — not too crowded, with enough light to be pleasant but the shop front doesn’t leave you feeling exposed to people walking and gawking too. Again, food was excellent. All four of us got different dishes and really enjoyed, and the coffee was also quality which REALLY gets my day going. Definitely need a reservation as you might not get in or would be subject to a long wait time without one, but also definitely worth a bit of planning!

Dayam. This place has been on my list for a while but I had read it was impossible to get a table walk in, so we emailed to book. They were able to fit us in at half ten, which was opening time, and the place was still jammers when we arrived at 10.32! The food was cracking. I got the crabcake benedict: two english muffins, spinach, two tasty crab cakes, two poached eggs and spring onion hollandaise. Oh and three very chunky fries to boot. Definitely left feeling full! The menu was full of choice, and I’ll definitely be heading back to hit up some of the other dishes. Even though the place was full, it didn’t feel cramped like some other brunch spots can(tables too close together etc). The music was a fun mix and very chill. The staff were all lovely and we got a complimentary watermelon mimosa for checking in on Unilocal!Win!

Headed to Whitefriar Grill this morning for a spot of brunch. After hearing a lot of really great reviews, my expectations were pretty high, and I can say this place definitely lives up to the hype. Honestly, Im not much of a fan of eggs, yet I was somehow tempted by the huevos rancheros, and Im very glad I was. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the flavours from the blackbeans, guacamole and chorizo tomato salsa made for an amazing dish. Really generous portions as well. I was struggling to get through it all, but it was just too delicious to quit. The complimentary watermelon mimosa upon check in was a really cool addition to the meal also! Very impressed. The place was buzzing at only 10:30am, and though the staff we’re clearly running around to keep things moving, they were still really friendly and attentive. I thought for brunch in a popular spot in the city centre, it was pretty reasonably priced. Delicious food and drink. Good atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Well worth a visit… but I would definitely advise booking in advance to avoid a lengthy wait for a table.

We tried to go there several times as every time that we tried it was full booked. We went in the 3rd time that we try to book, and just because someone canceled. Worthed the wait. Food are really good. I had the tomato fondue and it was really good. Tasty, fresh and well prepared. Staff is nice as well and very professional. Keep going with the good work :)

After a few failed«drop-ins» over the past two years(drop-ins? What an amateur…) I finally had the chance to have brunch here last weekend. My mom was over for a visit and we were three for three on our dining with dinner at Il Vicoletta, lunch at Happy Food and then dinner at Boqueria. I just knew Whitefriar would deliver. After a brief glance at the menu we decided on the lobster hash for me and the eggs Benedict for her. I also added in one of the juice concoctions which I think was the Pink Drink but don’t hold me to it. When our food arrived it was beautifully presented and smelled divine. Unfortunately the phrase«beauty is only skin deep» was true for us because my lobster hash left me underwhelmed. I can’t put my finger on what was missing but it was very average. Overall I loved the atmosphere of the place but I’m not sure I’ll return for brunch.

We had a wonderful breakfast here. I wasn’t sure if we were going to have a long wait since it’s quite busy on the weekends, but we ended up getting seated after only a few minutes. I ordered fresh juice and the scrambled eggs with sourdough and potatoes. It was very tasty, even if the bread was a bit tough to cut. It’s pretty small inside, but we didn’t feel crowded or awkwardly placed. However, the music was quite loud and it was hard to talk at a normal level. We ran into a bit of trouble with the payment, as their card machines weren’t working and we had no cash. We had to wait quite a while before they decided the machines wouldn’t be fixed anytime soon, so we had to go hunting for an ATM, which wasn’t ideal. I’d like to return anyway, and I’m sure the machines will be working next time!

This is up there with my all-time favourite meals in Dublin — I just totally loved this restaurant and was really impressed with all the food. The space is intimate and cosy without being pokey, and even though our table was a bit rowdy it didn’t seem to disrupt the place(I hope!). I shared a starter so had the joy of two delicious dishes — lamb flatbread w/chilli basil hummus, pomegranate mint yoghurt as well as the crab pâté. The pâté was beautifully flavoured, delicate and light with some lovely fresh leaves on the board too. I don’t actually normally like lamb but this flatbread was just perfect — and the yoghurt with it gave it a nice zing. I wouldn’t normally order chicken for a main — I’m never really that wowed by it, but I didn’t feel like steak. It was just delicious — a good-sized portion, and the side of polenta was a really great accompaniment. We went a little over the top and got three sides to share between us(you can get three sides for € 10) — tobacco onions, tomato fondue stuffed pepper w/basil pesto and truffle & parmesan fries. Words can’t express just how good these sides were, executed really well and I loved the tomato just because it was a bit unusual. I’d describe it as really slow cooked tomato which I’m definitely going to try to replicate myself. For dessert, I decided just to have an espresso martini which was a lovely finisher. The chocolate fondue is pretty nuts though! This meal was really just a fabulous evening at a comfortable, relaxing restaurant with some delicious food. I would go out of my way to get back here next time I’m in Dublin.

It’s hard to decide what was nicer, the food or the service. The staff was simply amazing, rhey are incredibly friendly and helpful and even though everyone at our table had about a hubdred special requests due to allergies they stayed super patient and made all our changes happen without any hesitation. I had a lovely carrot lentil soup and a full plate of veggetables that left me feeling very healthy and good, especially because I had an upset stomach before. The restaurant itself is quite cute, with wooden tables, old lamps and cute brick walls. Defenitely a great spot for dinner here in Dublin!

I have been here for brunch and dinner and I cannot fault any of my experiences. The brunch is the best in Dublin if you ask me. Each of my friends had something different and they were all absolutely amazing. From the more adventurous Huevos Rancheros to the can’t go wrong, Eggs Bennie, all gorgeous. Dinner was also beautiful. I had the special that day which was a Korean Pork Belly dish. Really amazing and a perfectly sized portion of meat to sides. It is a little on the expensive side but totes worth it. Staff are very professional and friendly.

The perfect place if you like meat. I really enjoyed the pork rips and the steak. The starters were nice too. The menu is not really that long, if you are not a meat fan maybe will be not a good idea to go there. The venue is nice, good for an small celebration or elegant dinner.

So I came back for the ribs special last Sunday. A selection of meat with 2 sides for € 40 for 2 people. It was delish. The steak melted in your mouth, the ribs were succulent and tender they just fell off the bone. I wasn’t too into the ham ribs but my boyfriend loved them. They did get one of our side dishes wrong but we didn’t say anything because it looked really yummy and it was! The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were friendly. I will be back here no doubt about that!

I love brunches with girls here. A free watermelon Bellini upon the check in is an amazing marketing step, let’s give them that. In my case it really works and I keep coming back. The choice of brunches is rich: salmon, shrimps, lobster, all kind of eggs, sausages, just whatever you feel like. I like the staff as well, I feel they are attentive, but not annoying. I am always happy to leave them tips because finding a good service is quite a rare thing to be honest. Overall, a great place to have a brunch for groups where everyone has different taste and prefer a wide range of choice in the menu. And don’t forget to check in!

Always been meaning to pop in here for food. Finally the day came booked a table and there was no turning back. We were a table of 8 so this ment lots of food tasting. I got the huevos Rancheros, and they did not disappoint, only there was to much tortilla but thats just me being a bit over the top :) The other dishes that the table got was Belgian Chocolate Waffle, gambas benedict, quinoa & pommegranate salad, «ribsnrump», and chicken wings. All were as nice as eachother and it would be very hard to find a fault with any of the dishes. The staff were very attentive and a joy to deal with.

5 * for Brunch, which I’m ashamed to say is all I’ve ever had there! I recently brought a big group of friends here, who all have very different tastes. Everyone was able to find something they liked on the menu. They were also delighted to learn that if they downloaded this fabulous app called Unilocal, they were able to check in to claim a Watermelon Bellini! :) The only thing I don’t like about Whitefriar Grill is that I always end up too stuffed from their huge yummy meals to try one of their amazing looking desserts!

Went to the Whitefriar with a group of friends for a birthday meal and was not disappointed! The food is amazing, the service was great and the drinks selection along with the free watermelon Bellini went down a treat! Starting with the lamb flatbread and moving onto the steak and lastly the chocolate fondue I was highly impressed with the 3 course early bird we received for a mere 25 euros each. I particularly enjoyed the lamb flatbread starter which had an amazing mix of spices that left me drooling for more! All in all a great place to visit!

Another place I heard loads about, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We came here for dinner for four people, had three courses each, each choosing different menu items and we could not fault anything that we had. Every single dish was made to perfection and just absolutely delicious. We came on a Wednesday night and at the moment they are doing early bird dinner menus Monday — Wednesday all night(I think it goes till 6 Thursday and Friday but not 100% on that), but that meant a three course meal for 25 € pp which is a pretty good deal, especially given the food really was just superb. The only downside was that as this place was super busy it was quite noisy, but we came on a night where it seemed two large groups were in for celebratory dinners of some sort so maybe it’s not as noisy most nights. That aside, still deserving of 5⁄5 as it was good value for money and did I mention how great the food was? Do book ahead though as this place is popular, slim to no chance of getting a table just walking in off the street. You won’t regret planning ahead and coming here though.

How have I not reviewed the Whitefriar Grill before? In my opinion, it’s one of the best restaurants in Dublin, hands down. It really does tick all the boxes: — Exceedingly friendly & efficient staff. Honestly, they are just so nice in here. Massively accommodating, smiley and personable, yet still professional, and they know their product inside out. Gold stars all round! — The food is just so so good. Massive portions, excellent quality ingredients, and a really nice menu selection. It’s that modern Irish kind of buzz — nice cuts of meat presented with some more unusual accompaniments. For the really good stuff though, save room for desert. My lord. The chocolate fondue. Decadent doesn’t even cover it. It comes with peanut butter fudge, homemade marshmallow, pineapple & profiteroles. Definitely enough for two! — It’s excellent value, with the early bird(available all day Mon-Thurs) at 19.50 for two courses and 24.50 for three. Even the a la carte is priced really well. Top tip: Check in with Unilocal at brunch and get a free bellini! Winning or what!
