I liked the Promenade Café already with the old owners(Anderson Insurance) and now that Teddy’s took over I’m nicely surprised that it is still one of my favourite Café’s in the area. Obviously the location adds immensely to it’s charme, but the interior is part of it too and of course the food and drinks. So far I had a sandwich there which blew me away with its freshness and taste and a raspberry cheesecake — yummy too. At other time I just went for a cappuccino and nothing to say against that either.

Lovely find on an afternoon stroll. Enjoyed the soup and sandwich combo and lingered over cappuccino. Friendly staff and delightful atmosphere. Beautiful view too!

Meh! Expected more but I can’t slate it! The staff were very friendly and very accommodating so 5 stars for those guys Décor is nice, big windows, duck egg and cream surrounds so a nice place to sit! Food was ok, nothing for kids which is fair enough if that’s not their target. Had bruschetta and was a little let down, portion was tiiiiiiiiiny and it was baked as opposed to grilled, yes I could tell! Bit tough as a result but again very reasonably priced. Not bad but not great, and it could be

I’ve popped in here a few times for a coffee but haven’t actually sat down. The interior is gorgeous and seaside view is a bonus.

Full of that middle-aged self-righteous glow after a brisk walk on the pier, we repaired to the Promenade for the first time for coffees. It is literally next door to Teddys so finding it is definitely not a probelem. As it was lunch time, I opted also for a very nice chicken caesar wrap to accompany the lattes while my better half went for the chocolate brownie which she declared to be excellent but too filling. A surprisingly nice and airy room, friendly and efficient service and a window seat caused us to linger perhaps somewhat longer than necessary. We will be back.

This café has been open about a month and this was my first visit. Parking is good as it is across the road there are a few tables outside which I like so I can sit and watch the world go by. I would prefer if the food they have on offer was more an all day ‘thing’ instead of set times but then they are new. I ordered the Duck dish as it was on the menu — after a short debate of times and if I could order it as I was not in the right time. Waiter came back to say the duck was off the menu as it was finished(at 12 noon?). On his suggestion I tried something else which was nice but I would have preferred the duck dish. I popped inside to have a look and see what else is on offer and the place was busy and nicely laid out. The staff are very nice although they did get confused with our bill as we switched tables outside to sit under an umbrella — it was raining! I ordered the waffle with some ice cream but waffles were ‘off’ so had a choc brownie instead with ice cream. My American friend declared it ‘dry’ so thank goodness we had the ice cream with it. All in all nice place I would go again but they need to sort their menu out.
