I’m a massive fan of Waxperts. Given the subject matter, it’s pretty important to feel comfortable, if it’s a bit of a stretch to say«enjoy» the experience. All the girls working here are lovely and the result is pretty much the same each time. The owners of Waxperts have created their own trademarked waxing products which make the experience virtually painless. It genuinely doesn’t pull your skin in the slightest, and if you’re going for regular waxes, the experience is almost pleasant. If it’s your first time getting any delicate waxing done, I’d really recommend going here. There’s nothing to be scared of, and the therapists are professional, warm and chatty to keep your mind off what’s going on. They’re also pretty quick, I usually in and out in 30 minutes for a full«intimate» wax. The place itself is lovely, always cosy and clean and with that typical beauty salon smell of wax and essential oils. They leave the romantic lighting on whilst you’re getting ready and turn on the harsher lights when they come in to begin– which made me squirm a little the first time, but at least it means they can see clearly! The waxing is not cheap, but it’s one area where I’m willing to fork out a little extra– you get what you pay for, in my opinion; it’s not much higher than the average prices in Dublin. Will be back many more times.

I am amazed to be the first one to review this place! Perhaps it was meant to remain a secret… oops… This is by very far the best wax place in Dublin. I’ve been to many, I’ve been burnt, hurt, cut, overcharged… I’ve had the beauticians complain about my hair, making excuses, doing a terrible job… The place itself is very clean and cosy, the staff are excellent. I’ve been three times, 3 different girls: exact same spotless technique. They use a special wax that they make themselves(for the sensitive areas) which involves essential oils. The uniqueness of this wax is that they first rub oil on your skin so that the wax actually does not pull your skin in the slightest. It just attaches to your hair. This makes for an experience 10 times less painful as the others. They don’t use strips(when they use this wax) and never dip the wooden spatula in the wax twice. They say it keeps it cleaner and without bacteria. The only problem is that I live in the city centre and it’s a bit too far for me to go regularly.
