I remember I had a serious addiction to the bagel factory’s «stars and stripes» bagel for a long time. Avocado, crispy American style bacon, tomatoe and cream cheese all on a sesame seed bun. The other bagel factory’s near me all closed so when I found this one in Dundrum, my cravings start crawling back for that crispy bacon! One thing I noticed was the prices had gone up. The service was slower. The bagel wasn’t the bagel I remembered :(maybe it was just a bad day as the staff where busy and oh so grumpy! I rushed to my seat to open the bagel and find some sad tomatoes and a tiny spread of avocado on my bagel. The bacon tastes as if it was cremated in the microwave and wasn’t crunchy at all. Almost rubbery. Same went for the bread it all tasted soggy! Was disappointed I paid nearly ten quid for this, crisps and a drink! Could have enjoyed a Big Mac more!

Hmmmm, delicious bagel, bad service. El Monkey has a bagel on the short list of foods she will deign to eat, so we stopped off here after a long day hitting the sales to rest and replenish. She went with a plain bagel, nothing on it and a juice, while I took advantage of the make your own option to create a delicious meal full of gooey goodness. Theres a decent selection of fillings to choose from, several types of cheese, a variety of meats and lots of salads and sauces. No complaints at all about the food, but I found the girl behind the counter quite rude, I may be accused of many things but indistinct diction is not one of them, and due to her inability to understand my pretty straightforward order became increasingly surly, and that was from a jump off point of good old fashioned rude. However they do seem to have a revolving door of staff so my next experience will likely be far better.

After living in New York for a time I have developed an unhealthy addiction to bagels in all their wonderful stodgy glory. Thankfully there is a chain of bagel eateries called the bagel factory that satisfies that carb need in my brain and belly. They have wonderful variety of bagels from plain to sesame, poppy and wheaten and mixed etc and you can make your own bagel up with all their yummy fresh toppings or choose from one of their pre designed menu options. You can have hot or cold or melted or toasted options and for a whole wheat bagel with guacamole, lots of salad and veg it will cost you 4.50euro. Not too bad me thinks!
