My girlfriend had an interview with Baked Dundrum recently, they brought her in for a trial day a few days after her interview and all went well. At the end of her trial they told her she’d get a call within the following week regarding whether or not she got the job. Two weeks go by and no call so she decides to take a trip up to Baked and ask in person, she’s told, again, that she’ll get a call over the next few days. It’s been over a month since she had her trial run and still no call. They didn’t even have the decency to give her a ring to say she didn’t get the job. Very unprofessional of your company exploiting a 17 year old for a day of free labour and not even bothering to give her a call back.

Cakes look better than they taste. Staff are like headless chickens I don’t think they can understand English? Got few cakes to bring home for after Sunday dinner so they family where delighted when I Came back with them. Gave the girl the order at the till and she put them in boxes for me to drive home 30 minutes away. After dinner opened the box and was completely all the wrong cakes and not enough for everyone. Was so angry! On top of that the cakes where awful

I really like this place. The lemon slice is delish, and only € 1.70. If you go there late in the day their bread is half price. Some delicious cakes. As for the other reviewer, being pregnant myself you’ll generally know what does and doesn’t contain raw eggs. Tiramisu no, sponge yes. Did you try explaining that when you are pregnant it is recommended that all eggs in food are well cooked? We are generally a bit more excessive than other countries in regard to raw eggs, unpasteurized cheese etc. To be honest if you asked me that question a few years ago I wouldn’t know what you were going on about either.

This place looks much better than it actually is, sadly. Firstly the chocolate they use is that cheap stuff your mom used for rice-crispy buns and has that waxy feel to it, it’s very unpleasant. It’s not chocolate, it’s mostly fat. Most of the people working here are nice but sadly lack any semblance of intelligence. I walked over last week with my pregnant wife and asked a member of staff if it was ok to eat one of the cream cakes, I asked a simple question any pregnant woman would ask — is there any raw eggs in that or any unpasteurised cream? She looked at me like I had 6 heads and said«raw eggs? Yes we have those!» WHAT?! Then I guess he was the baker or manager or something, a Spanish guy, overheard us and came over, so I asked him the same question, his response was even more stupid, «yes we use raw eggs when cooking» me — no I mean is there any raw eggs in the final product? Him — «yes of course, we put raw eggs in it, we use raw eggs to cook everything!» What the hell? Are these people morons or something? I preceded to keep asking in different ways and kept getting the same answer! So sadly I walked off none the wiser and they have one less customer for their utter stupidity. Sorry guys you should know the answer to BASIC English questions when opening a food business. All I can say is, idiots. Don’t go there, they don’t even know what they cook apparently.
