A relaxing little haven perfectly situated near the train and bus station– which I frequent rather a lot. The coffee is really good, I think I had a croissant too which was tasty! The service was quite nice too but the real winner is the leafy, tranquil little terrace seating area. It really doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city. I love this café!

What a pleasant outdoor seating area! Stopped in for a quick bite and ended up with an early dinner: the BLT is two slices of dark bread with healthy portions of bacon, mixed greens, tomato, and avocado(I did hummus as they’d run out). The Americano was delicious, as well. Well worth the trip.

I must have walked past this café dozens of times and never thought of going in. But this part of town is a wasteland unless you’re in the market for a pub, a plush hotel or a franchise, and as I was due to catch a bus from the nearby bus station, I couldn’t bear the thought of heading back to Eyre Square so I decided to chance my arm at the Jungle Café. I’m so glad I did! The man who took my order was charming and efficient and I took a seat outside — outside! In Galway! On a dreary April day! — and I watched the world go by. The comfy couches, the rattan upright armchairs, the bamboo plants in pots… it all adds up to a super-relaxed atmosphere. It reminded me of Java’s back in the Nineties. The coffee(a chai latte) was fab, and I’m only sorry I didn’t have the opportunity to order a slice of banana cake.

Found myself walking into Galway one morning in a sideways rain this past winter and dyingly in need of a coffee. Lo and behold, I arrive and what do I find but the Jungle Café, purveyor of outstanding coffees and food as well as a nice place to sit and read

Almost every morning in Galway was spent here(and a few afternoons), enjoying Irish balmy weather delicious food, and great conversation. It’s mostly covered, outdoor seating(Vancouverites will love it!) cash only though, and sometimes it takes a bit to make the food — but that’s what you get for ordering breakfast at 1pm, and it being made from scratch with love.

A new discovery in Galway, a great little exotic outdoor café. The atmosphere is refreshing and relaxing, feels like on holidays in a tropical island! The décor is exotic with a Hawaiian beachy twist; wooden outdoor tables, palm trees, nice music and colorful design. The inside is like a beach shack, so there is no better place to lunch on a sunny warm day. The coffee here is great! You can have it with soya or coconut milk as well, and they do some great latte art. The food is great too, especially the breakfast items. Love the omelets! The staff are also very friendly.
