Flavorful food, but the pasta was way over-cooked. Surprising, because the staff is Italian, and I imagine there were some Italians cooking, too. Pizza looked good, though, and I imagine we would’ve been happy with some personal pies. Reasonably priced.

Most of the Italian restaurants in Galway were crowded and noisy on an evening in August and when we happened on Venice we were pleased to see the place was quiet and the menu had a mix of familiar and ambitious menu items. Fortunately, every dish was as good as could be hoped for. We tried salads, lasagna, spaghetti de Roma and the vegetarian spaghetti. Everyone was very pleased.

What a cute little place. The menu has your usual italian items, but every single thing on that menu sounded delicious. We wanted to try everything. I ended up ordering a pizza which was delicious. Initially when we came in it was empty, but quickly got very busy.

Admittedly, this American tourist did not have high expectations for Irish pizza, but the pizza at Venice Café was excellent.
