This is the hotel to stay at in the heart of Galway — it’s super affordable, decorated nicely, has a bar and restaurant and is situated right at the start of Quay street where all the shopping, food and drinking(FUN) is to be had. It’s a very short walk to the Spanish Arches and another short walk to the Cathedral. The water is literally across the street AND there is a parking garage right next door(your parking will be complimentary when you stay at the hotel). Check in was fast and the front desk staff was nice and knowledgeable — he even uploaded the WIFI to my cell phone which was very nice. Our room had a nice corner view and everything we needed. The mattress was a little springy but the blankets and pillows were very comfortable. I felt very safe at this hotel and enjoyed my stay in Galway at the Jury’s Inn

Nice pleasant stay overall and the hotel was in an excellent location minutes from the city centre. Very stingy with wifi and other amenities compared to other hotels we had stayed in. Overall very clean and well decorated room and bathroom. Parking in the underground car park which was quite reasonable and very convenient.

All of the rooms would have been great if they hadn’t overbooked last room and charged us for all of the previously booked rooms. Because of this mishap half of our group had to find different accommodations 4 miles away with extremely short(day of) notice. For the inconvenience they gave us a free breakfast worth € 9 but a simple call to inform us that they gave our room to someone else would have sufficed. Besides the booking hassle, the rooms we did have were clean and the staff was extremely apologetic.

Had 2 rooms for 6 adults and two young children. The rooms were great, but be aware there is no air conditioning. That leads to opening the windows, which brings me to the only caution I have about staying here — it is in the heart of the action in Galway, and the partying around there goes on into the wee hours, so if you have a window open to let in the fresh air it can be noisy. The hotel was very accommodating and gave us 2 fans so we were able to keep the windows closed most of the night. Breakfast is great and the price is very reasonable. Great value for the money.

We’re not really the hotel dwelling kind of travelers, but airbnb wasn’t giving us much to work with in Galway. So we opted for the affordable, smack dab in the middle of town hotel, and it ended up being a huge win. The parking garage is conveniently located next door; make sure to get the discounted hotel garage rate at the front desk before you leave. When you walk out the front door of the hotel, you’re in the middle of everything. To the left is the famous Quays street and Eyre Square is a little further. Straight ahead is the Spanish Arch and to the right is the Promenade. Upon arriving Shane checked us in, who was the star of the show. Every step of the way Shane surprised us and overdelivered on our expectations, from walking outside to point us in the right direction, to giving us advice on locals discounts at the pub back in Las Vegas. The next morning when we were having breakfast, he was in the dining room helping the food prep staff deliver foods to buffet and efficiently taking care of emerging customer requests as they dined. If management hasn’t already recognized Shane for outstanding performance, we both recommend/nominate him for an award for outstanding customer service and work ethic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The shower is glorious with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. The only thing I needed but the room didn’t have was a hairdryer. They have a nice, convenient Irish breakfast buffet in the morning. It was just what we needed before a long day of touring the city then making our way over to Dublin. Check the travel discount sites before you book because you might be able to score a discounted rate. We booked our stay through , which brought the nightly rate down by € 10.

Update: there isn’t a fan in the bathroom, and the tub was clogged when showering… Which left for a very hot room(as if 27degrees wasn’t hot enough)… Applying make up to a face beading sweat was less than desirable. And the amount of sound that was from the windows was as if you were sitting in a pub, until nearly 2 – 3 in the morning… I’m told by the locals that this is not unusual.

Super Hotel und super Essen. Für einen Aufenthalt in dieser Gegend ideal. PKW Parkplatz im angrenzenden Parkhaus vorhanden. Bis zum ersten guten Pub ca. 200 m.

Sooo much cleaner, nicer, larger, quieter for the same price as the Spanish Arch Hotel located a few doors down. Definitely stay here! 2nd floor river view can’t be beat!

I stayed here my last night in Galway because our first hotel the House Hotel was booked. The rates were slightly lower for the night(by about 10 Euros) but it was a Sat so very expensive. The staff were good, the rooms nice, and the views of the river were awesome, but I have to say compared to the House Hotel they were slightly less impressive. Still a quality establishment and I would recommend if the House is booked or too expensive or becomes pretentious with their success.
