Mr Big n’ Tall

This used to be the most ironic shop on the Southside. The shop sells clothes for people who are very wide or very tall, a useful service for people who find it hard to find clothes to fit them. The old shop however had the smallest door you could ever imagine! It was something that everyone used to laugh at and it was always pointed out to visitors as you drove by. Now though, the shop has moved around the corner and has a normal sized door so all the comedy is gone, it’s a pity but I would say the large men of Dublin are much happier now! I have taken (or tried to take) a picture of the old small door but there is nothing there for perspective so it’s hard to see how small it actually is! Ah well!

Coats, trousers, suits, jeans, shirts, t-​shirts, jumpers, woolies, swimwear and underwear, all in larger than large sizes, can be found in Mr Big. They stock waist sizes from 44″ to 80″ — really BIG.
They also have a selection of footwear, from runners to smart lace-​ups, in sizes 12 – 17. My bro has monstrous feet (size 14), and this is one of the only shops in Ireland where he can find shoes to fit.
