Spent the night in Kenmare and the women who ran our B&B recommended this place for dinner. Probably hands-down the best meal I had while in Ireland. I ordered the traditional lamb stew which was extremely hearty, tender, and delicious. My family ordered the chicken curry(which was also delicious) and a steak. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. It was definitely one of our favorite spots during our trip from the states!

Foley’s Kenmare was a favorite stop on our Ireland adventure. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made welcome. Our room was lovely and comfy. The made to order full Irish breakfast was terrific. Sitting by the fire in the evenings was a real treat. I absolutely recommend!

This is a touristy little spot and surprisingly the food was tasty! The only problem is it’s a over priced but that’s granted in a little town like Kenmare. Plus side, they have a full bar with lots and lots of whiskey. Onto the food! We had the salmon and crab cakes(they were balls actually) were very good. The dipping sauce was awesome! We also had fried mushrooms. Equally as tasty. The fish chowder was just okay. It was more like a broth and not cream based. It was good just not my favorite soup. The oysters were sold out that night but I came back the next night and grabbed 6 of the natural. They were blah and didn’t taste fresh. One of them looked bad so that mission was a dud. The bartenders were all friendly and the live music was pretty cool. It’s great for big groups. I’m happy I gave it a try.

Stopped by on our way to the Ring of Kerry and were not disappointed. The beef and Guinness pie was delicious. My friends had the seafood pie, grilled salmon, lamb stew, cheddar and chutney sandwich, and seafood chowder — all of which were well received. Besides the food, the atmosphere was excellent. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Absolutely terrible. First, the pub itself seemed dirty, dingy, and though it had not been cleaned in a decade. There were stains on the chairs which grossed me out. Second, the food, disgusting. I ordered the Beef and Guinness pie and there was more fat on the beef than meat. Twice I had to spit out my mouthful into my napkin. Then I just stopped eating the beef. It took too much effort to perform surgery on every piece of meat before putting it into my mouth. The mashed potatoes were dry, flavorless and were probably from a box. My husband ordered the lasagna which he said he enjoyed but he’s not the one writing this review, so the stars are based on my experience and how I wanted to take a bath in bleach after eating at this pub. If only there had been other restaurants open at the time we needed to grab a bite to eat. If only. This is the worst restaurant I have ever dined at.

Stopped in here twice while staying near Kenmare for the week. First was for lunch; second just for a drink. Liked the look of the place from the outside which is why we stopped the first time. Very clean inside and the place has a nice traditional Irish restaurant feel. Had the Beef and Guinness and my wife had the fish and chips for lunch. Both dishes were very good. Had a Harp(on draft) which was excellent(cold and fresh). One of the hurling semifinal games was on TV so the place had a nice vibe to it(not over the top sports nutty, just a nice lively feel). Was back in a few days later with a bigger crowd and we stopped to grab a quick drink(based on my good lunch experience). Sat at the bar and again just really enjoyed the feel of the place. Nice and clean, good service and a welcoming environment. Definitely a real good stop for a bite or even just a drink.

Wandered in here after dinner, and they had wonderful live Irish music. We were spoiled with this being our first«Irish pub» experience, and didn’t find it’s rival the rest of our trip. Good service, good crowd, excellent performance.
