Need a quick sandwich on the go while in Kilkenny? There might not be a better spot anywhere (Ireland or otherwise) than this take away joint. Be sure to get what ever sandwich you order on the Blaa (basically a traditional irish roll) or your are missing the point.

Lovely people who run this small yet perfect sandwich stop near Kilkenny Castle! I had the BLT, and it was perfect for about 4 euros. If you are on a budget or time crunch, this is perfect!
The blaa is for a type of bread, and I just love the name of the place! Tell them you heard about them on Unilocal from a Texan who they met recently.

Brighton, MA
Great little place next to the castle. It was very inexpensive and delicious. The women running it were also incredibly nice. If you’re looking for a filling and affordable meal, stop here. This was especially great for me, considering I’m traveling and on a tight budget.
