Shevlins bar in Carrickmacross, in the centre of the main street just a few doors down form the garda station is a good place to sit down and have a drink before heading to the Fiddlers nightclub when it opens it doors. Shevlins has a good atmosphere whenever you go in, and the drink is priced reasonable. However you might find the pub to have a younger audience, and I have heard the place being referred to as «the Crèche». But don’t get hung up on this, go in and have a good time!
