This review will mostly be of interest to vegetarians. The best first: cosy restaurant, attentive staff, good for groups, inexpensive, good wine. The menu didn’t offer much choice for vegetarians. Oh that dreaded goat’s cheese salad for starter! Oh the dreaded risotto! The latter was well prepared while the former could have done with a few more leaves, but overall the combination of both was unimaginative and to cheesy. I know we need protein but… Think every restaurant trying to offer a vegetarian alternative 20 years ago and this is exactly every menu. For non-vegetarians, the menu was fine and portions were quite large, my friends noted. Mostly pleasant experience and would go again but preferably after new vegetarian options are added to or replace current ones.

Had a beautiful family meal here. All of our needs were catered too, and we had a most lovely server — I wish I could remember her name. I would definitely come back!

Went there on a Thursday night for a birthday. The place was warm and cosy. The staff was lovely and took our coats right away. Everything on the menu looked amazing. I had the duck which was just perfectly cooked. My dessert the pecan cheesecake wasn’t too sweet and was light which ended the dinner on a perfect note.
