Excellent venue for a night out in Mullingar. Great atmosphere, superb entertainment and friendly efficient bar staff with a great choice of beers and other drinks. The nearest thing to Nashville in Mullingar.

This pub has everything. The bands that they book are great examples of local or national talent. On match days there are numerous screens and plenty of seating. The beer garden is spacious, airy and warm and the food, while a tad bit pricy for the area, is top notch. Definitely the go-to pub in Mullingar.

If your are going to Mullingar, go to Danny Byrnes. It’s an absolutely beautiful spot, something old, something new, I just think it’s way too dark, specially if your are going there during the day for food, that by the way is not great. They have carvery and sandwich bar, my husband had Lasagne and wasn’t good, he couldn’t even finish it, too much bullion in it and I had just a ham & cheese toast, my ones are better.(so, don’t go there for food, drinks only) They also have a beautiful beer garden, very colourful and flowery and loads of seats. Heard they have live music it’s quite good. So, I do think this would be one of those good places to go for drinks with friends, probably a late bar.

Danny Byrnes is a great pub to drink in. It regularly hosts the vocal talents of Rob Strong along with other live acts like The Blizzards and has a great atmosphere provided by the lovely staff and dark interior and book-shelfy style décor. Obviously the Guinness is lovely and they always put delicious caramels out on the bar to be scoffed all night. There’s a covered bit out the back too for smokers or fresh-air-lovers, altogether a cracking place.
