I came here on early morning at 8:30am when the café was just opening for a coffee, and my first impressions were overall good. The staff were very friendly and said good morning, something which I don’t commonly here these days from staff. I ordered my usual Americano for sit in which was ok, costed € 2.50. They have a nice breakfast menu too with things like eggs, toast, granola etc. and have a deli bar with sandwiches, wraps and salads at lunch. There’s lots of seating available, and they also sell a few health foods like chia seeds, soya milk, quinoa, kale chips etc. as well as chocolates and cereal bars. Newspapers and a few books are available too. Overall, Kennedy’s is a nice café for coffee or food with efficient service and friendly staff.

Not a massive fan of this place. There was a hype when it opened up first, as it’s in a prime location and Raheny did need somewhere new. They do nice scones, but you have to get in early to get some. I find their service very lax, and each time I’ve ordered a coffee/latte, it’s been cold and have had to send it back or have been left waiting for order or for extra milk/hot milk. The last time I was there, we both had to send back our scones as they were undercooked and doughy and our coffees were cold. I asked for hot milk on the side and had to go up to the counter in the end to get it. Not very impressive when you come for an afternoon treat.

Food is good but waiting staff very inefficient. I like ketchup, I put it on almost everything & I asked for it with my eggs. It didn’t come. I approach counter & ask for it & am told the waitress will bring it down. She doesn’t. So I sit & wait with cold eggs. This has happened twice! I’ve decided not to return.

Great lunch. Staff very efficient & friendly. They even turned off the air conditioning for me, even though it was very busy & no one else had an issue with it. I had the soup & sandwich, quite reasonable, & coffee to finish. I’ll be back again D

Had lunch here last week and while the food was lovely, the service was simply appalling. Waitress was rude and unhelpful. Slopped my coffee over when banging it in the table. My aunty asked for another pot of tea and the same pot and tea bag were half filled with hot water… but we were charged for another pot? That is after we had to wait for ages at the till to pay while the girl counted change, changed the til roll and had a good chat to a colleague. I very nearly walked away without paying. Very very disappointing. Nice food though.

3.5 stars. Ever tried eating soup with a fork? Then you obviously haven’t gone to Kennedy’s in Raheny. I’ve dropped in here for lunch a few times, mainly because they a. have a great range of gluten free food and b. one of said gluten free items is probably the best choloclate brownies you’ll get GF or otherwise. The service can be a bit haphazard at times; I would have ordered dessert today but I never saw the waiter again after she left the soup. However, for a lunch spot it’s pretty good. If you go for the homemade soup it’s guaranteed to be really good and I recommend getting their gluten free bread with that; it’s nicer than the brown, white or granary. All in all it’s good nosh, and not too pricey.
