Wow how has Revels changed. If you went there at the millennium, three floors full, upstairs and basement bar have gone /​not used, even the middle area, empty. It’s a shame. I enjoy the pub but marks off as its a bar in decline and the customers are a bit skanky (younger customers)
You get a certain amount of guards drinking in here, but that’s ok, I’m used to them for coppers!
Unrelated I have seen a well known criminal drinking in here, so mind your handbags ladies lol
The only benefit to Revels as we move to 2016 is the lock ins they provide, sssh don’t tell anyone though!

This place has had extensive refubishments and it is a really cool pub now and a great place to go for a drink and hear some live music, be it bands or dj’s on the weekend! It also has race nights, shows sports most days and has specials for the ladies on the weekends. The music they play here is of the indie rock presuasion and is quite decent too.
On the downside, it is frequented by a young crowd and the drinks are a little on the pricy side. But it is in a greqat location of Rathfarnham Village with parking directly across from the pub at € 2 per hour, or taxi service nearby as are numerous take aways for after closing time!
