Never a great take away when it was alive, Jumbo has become the latest victim of the recession.
For those peckish for a Chinese in that neck of the woods, check out Gong for excellent food.

Probably the best thing about Jumbo Takeaway is the restaurant itself.
The big glass window turning the corner with a large, empty, yellow tiled floor space a long counter with one forlorn staff member at it and the only other furniture being two arcade machine it’s reminiscent of a David Fincher movie, like Fight Club meets Edward Hoppers painting Nighthawks, maybe. It’s equally likely that that’s just nonsense.

The food is as you would expect from a Chineser and Jumbo, by warrant of it’s longevity, is something of an icon in Stillorgan.
