Nice local spot. I used to live in terenure and this was a local for me. I moved a long time ago so it was good to revisit after all this time. It’s been given a refit and looks well. We went in around 11 on sat night and it was busy but not full. The World Cup was on but I liked the fact that the match didn’t take over the pub. The floor staff are always around and friendly. The serve the normal draft beers– I think it’s a pity that they don’t have a couple of unusual beers– but that’s maybe just me. They do have some craft beers in the bottle– it just works out expensive if you have a few. We stayed for a few beers and it was very relaxing. It’s worth a look if you’re in terenure village.

I have decided that part of being a grown up is having a local, and although Bradys is not the closest pub to me I have chosen to bestow the dubious honor of Aoifes local in this establishment! Bradys is actually 3 pubs in one, with a lounge part, a trad area and a kinda more pub section, with a huge part covered smoking area. Food is served and I’ve enjoyed anything I’ve ever ordered, even tho I’ve had a burnt mouth one or twice! Blow on the food people, blow! They also have quirky evenings, including a chess night and a free Thursday quiz, really making the effort to keep patrons coming back, and I for one will continue to do so!

This is a nice pub. I say nice, but it’s very much the kind of nice you’d associate with being relegated to the friend-zone. The décor is nice, the staff are nice people etc. Nothing really stands out and as a result it is really just one of those first stop pubs on a night out. A central location for you and your friends to meet up before heading into town. In short, it’s a good spot for a quick pint and a natter.

Ah Brady’s, Terenures busiest and most well known local. Another establishment I might as well have shares in I’ve spent so much time in the place over the years. Now theres nothing at all flashy about Brady’s, which is kinda the point. This is no superpub. Its very much a local. Having said that its always busy and got a great buzz, with most of the local punters and older folks heading into the side bar. A refurb a couple of years borough the lounge up to date. The back room was opened up and the snugs taken out. Its modern and spacious and never feels too packed. The front room is a bit more lively and always busy on Friday and Saturday nights. This being south Dublin, expect to find the place wedged on a match day especially if Leinster are playing. Great for a pint any day of the week, or on your way out somewhere else on a weekend night.
