Good food. No complaints. We started w the pecorino cheeses w honey… Dinner included wild boar polenta(the meat was a little dry for my flavor but the sauce was good), The truffle chicken dish was awesome and nPastas were good too. Friendly staff. Just come before 8 or make a reservation.

We had a wonderful dinner and really enjoyed the Wild Boar Parpadelle and Chicken in Black Truffle sauce. The service was fantastic and ambiance simple. We recommend having a reservation and request the table upstairs for added enjoyment!

Walking distance from just about anywhere in Firenze, Italy and is located near the Ponte Vecchio bridge, this little establishment really has something going on in the neighborhood. A reservation is not required, but probably a must if you want to look favorable to your amor’s eyes while at dinner. Even with a reservation, we had a waiting time of 30 minutes. Served us a small drink while we waited for a table. The food looked amazing from my point of entry. We came for the large portion of steak and some beer. 1.5 kg of beef steak florentine to be honest. It was a very large portion and was sincerely delicious. Since I brought my appetite with me and didn’t order any appetizers it was easy to consume the entirety of my meal with a dessert on the way. Walked out a new man and a belly full of happiness.

After hours wandering the winding streets of Florence, my boyfriend and I found ourselves drawn in by the promise of wild boar. We began with an assorted plate of cold cuts and cheese — and of course some regional wine! The antipasto was delicious with the warm liver spread a particular delight. Following our appetizer we were ready for the main course. My baby pig with potatoes and sautéed spinach was perfection. My boyfriend dined on polenta and cinghiale — the main reason we stopped — and it was all we hoped it would be. We finished our meal with a digestive Limoncello and Montenegro leaving full and happy for our final meal in Italy.

I don’t know what is better here, the food or the staff! Everyone was so nice and helpful in making our food choices and they did not disappoint. We started with the truffle burrata– definitely a must have! We also had the truffle pasta and the florentine T-bone steak, both great dishes with abundant flavor. Reservations are a must so you don’t have to wait too long to be seated and make sure you order the house wine!

During our ten days in Florence this was our number one restaurant. Great service, friendly … But oh my the food is outstanding. I had the wild boar with polenta. It was truly the best I have had in my four trips to Italy. My husband had the steak and couldn’t stop raving. Don’t miss this restaurant it is a must on your bucket list.

What an amazing experience from start to finish. Our server was fantastic and after asking us what we wanted to eat he recommended a great bottle of chianti to accompany our meal. We started out with truffled burrata and the grilled artichoke salad, followed by the wild boar rague with parpadelle pasta and perfectly cooked and seasoned sliced beef over arugula, fresh tomatoes and aged Parmesan. We rounded out the meal with a gorgeous pane cotta with fresh berries and house grappa. So far it’s been our favorite meal in Florence. Such an incredible evening.

We chose to eat there as it was recommended by Unilocal. We have had a quite good idea ;) Even if it is situated in the Center of Firenze, the food stays authentic: the pizza are not served with bad cheese or to much oil on it. On the card, you find typical toscan meals as pappa al pomodoro, meats and tripes cooked«a la fiorentina». On my point of view, the pastas are a bit too salty. The place is small and is easily full. Take a reservation and be ready to live a warm moment.

Our two favorite meals in Italy were both here — it’s just perfect. Lovely service, rustic and delicious food, not too precious — literally all we could want. I miss it! Our favorite dishes were the wild boar ragu and the truffle pasta.

The pasta was perfect. Melts in your mouth. Definitely not for a «light dinner». Savory, stewed meats in a hearty sauce. Paired with a simple local wine and finished off with a dessert, this was our first stop on an Italian honeymoon and so glad we went. Small, cozy atmosphere with a family vibe. My Italian was horrendous, but the staff helped me and encouraged my trying. Please go and enjoy.

Wonderful, simple food. Super fresh. I almost killed myself eating too much of the special artichoke pasta :) The panna cotta is also a MUST(I had with caramel sauce, but I am sure is great with chocolate or berries also), and as many of the reviews mention below, the house red is my fave so far in Florence. The waiter, Alessio(forgive me if I misspelled!) was also very kind and helpful. Marco(who I assume was the manager) too was friendly and funny. I closed the place down and walked verrry slowly home. Would definitely go back if I my travels bring me here again!

We were strolling around Florence one afternoon and happened to pass this place. We peered in and decided we would come for dinner. It really is great how you can walk into a casual, unassuming restaurant in Italy and have a spectacular meal. This was another no frills dining experience where 10 Euros can get you an excellent pasta. The strozzopretti was incredible. Another homemade, perfectly cooked pasta dish worth coming back for. The spaghetti was equally as fresh and delicious, although it did not stand out as much as the strozzopretti. Highly recommended if you are in Florence — incredible pasta for amazing prices.

One of our most memorable nights in Florence was at this restaurant. The atmosphere was refreshing as many of the restaurants in Florence were very bright. This restaurant was more intimate with dimmed lights and candles at each table. We had to wait a bit to sit and the owner gave us each a complimentary glass of Prosecco to sip on while we waited. When we sat down, we shared a linguine with truffle sauce. We had a big plate of pasta that was literally covered in shaved truffle. The dish was so delicious and at 20 euro seemed fair. It was very light and so flavorful. We follows it with the steak florentine. We had waited to have this as it is the thing to get in Florence. We were glad we waited until this restaurant. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I like my steak between rare and medium rare and this steak was right there. My husband prefers a more cooked steak, but even he inhaled this. It literally melted in your mouth. We buy all organic beef at home and I am good with the grill. The quality of this beef was unbelievable. We split what was basically a dessert sampler plate that was in the top desserts we had while touring Italy. Everything was homemade and delicious. Pricier than some of the surrounding, but worth it for a special night.

Came here to eat during our recent visit to Florence purely based on our previous experience 6 years ago. I have to say both times the food was marvelous. Grilled Porcini Mushrooms, buffalo milk Burrata cheese with truffles are musts! Pastas and Bistecca are delicious!

This was recommended to my travel companions as one of the best pasta restaurants in Florence and man, were they right! Every dish was perfectly cooked and the price very reasonable! It was the first time I had the steak Florentine and I have to admit, I was a bit overwhelmed with the 2.2+ kg of beef! The steak came out on a sizzling hot pan with a side of lemon slices, it was AWESOME! Thank god I was sharing with others and they had ordered carbonara and a risotto dish to balance out my meal. Carbs and meat is the best thing ever!

Delizioso!(That means delicious :) Wonderful dinner spot for our first night in Florence. Unilocal steered us this restaurant’s way and Unilocal was right. We went early without dinner reservations and they were just barely able to squeeze us in, so call ahead for reservations. We eat vegetarian and this restaurant was not a problem. Tasty homemade pasta and good cheap house wine(get your fill while in Tuscany). The couple next to us had the Florentine T-bone steak special and it was something to behold, lol. Great atmosphere — English speaking server if you need. Tight space for a family but was perfect as a couple.

My parents’ favorite dinner places in Firenze were closed on Sunday(as a lot of shops/restaurants are), but we were lucky to stumble upon this hidden gem of a restaurant after taken a stroll down Borgo San Iacopo. Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco(or «The Boar Restaurant» as I like to call it now) initially caught our eye because it was packed with locals, so we were confident that we were going to get a quality meal here. I got one of the specials: spaghetti with chianina meat sauce. It was the best pasta dish I have ever had! For dessert I enjoyed the panna cotta with berries, which was the perfect capitalization of the meal. The service and ambience here is wonderful too. Overall, Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco is the perfect place to experience the best in Florentine dining.

We were able to snag a table at 10 p.m. on the first night of our trip to Florence. The bruschetta was delicious, the table wine hit the spot, and my boar pasta was incredible. My husband ordered one of the entrée plates of boar and it was tender and deliciously prepared, coming with a side of potatoes. Our dining companions are vegetarian and they ordered pesto and a vegetable soup starter, the latter of which they are hoping to recreate at home. All in all, this place had great food, great service and I loved the rustic brick interior.

We loved this place. We came pretty late and without a reservation… They took us in and didn’t have to! The servers were kind and patient with us. We had the mixed plate of prosciutto and wild boar to start off, then wild boar ragu, followed by wild boar stew and polenta. Just. Couldn’t. Get. Enough. We also drank the house wine, which was lovely. To finish, we had almond biscotti with a Tuscan dessert wine. So nice!
