We had a pleasant lunch on the canal at this restaurant. I’m not sure if this is the best Italian food in Milan but it worked for us! We had a fine meet and cheese tray with very tasty delicacies. We also tried a shellfish soup that was clearly homemade and chock full of fresh mussels. My handmade asparagus ravioli was bright green, buttery, and exquisite. My wife’s gnocchi was yummy but clearly could not compete with my ravioli. Add in some espressos at the end and our relaxing lunch was complete. While tourists are in the area, and we certainly qualify, we certainly enjoyed ourselves.

This was a very touristy place on the canal which we chose because we were pretty ravenous. They had the specials that Milan is known for — saffron risotto and steak/schnitzel, but both tasted bland at best. We were disappointed by the poor food quality.(Taglio, around the corner, had a Milanese steak that we liked a lot better.) Service wasn’t super attentive, and sadly, there wasn’t any citronella or anything else to protect against the mosquitos.

Never been to such a disappointing restaurant, wine was like vinegar, carpaccio was tasteless, ravioli was ok but there was very little of it. stay away from this tourist trap!
