I was lucky enough to be invited to a cocktail party here and found the place to be a really good venue to spend a couple of hours. First up its in a pretty nice book shop but also it seems to be a great café doing good food in its own right as well. On offer were lots a canapés, and they had everything from mini bread bites with salami or cheese to rice bowls to stuffed breaded balls and club sandwiches. The food on offer was fantastic and the staff seemed to really know what they were doing. I think what we had was different from the normal menu, but the quality was really god and if that reaches into the standard menu items I would be surprised if you would get a bad lunch here. Well worth a look if your in the area. Both for the nice food, the interesting books, but also as it is on a lovely piazza which has a water feature on it which creates a nice setting.

We were a group of 6 Asian travellers who were there for lunch. We arrived at 12 and were told that the lunch menu will be served at 1230 so we said we would get some coffee first while we waited. While some of us went to get coffee, a male waiter came over to chase us away to a table for 4 because he was setting the table for lunch. This was even after we told him we were staying for lunch. All this was done in a very rude and derisory fashion. On the plus side, the coffee was cheap: € 1.30 for a cappuccino. Just don’t expect good service if you’re not local and don’t speak Italian.
