Despite the super boring name lol, this place is great and can get you some really authentic risotto milanese. Milan is where risotto came from, so you have to get some! The true kind has fresh saffron. and since saffron isn’t cheap, a lot of places use fake stuff, or just dye their risotto — not cool! I was thrilled that truffles were in season and they had an entire separate menu for truffles yes yummm! I got the black truffle risotto and my friend got the milanese one and we shared. Both were incredibly rich, and full of flavor, and just delicious. Highly recommend! The milanese is a reasonable 15 euro and very filling. The server gave us some well thought out recommendations for wine. I liked that even though he wasn’t a sommalier like some nice places have, he was informed enough to give us a good rec. Didn’t disappoint! It’s around the corner from the Repubblica stop and also walking distance from Centrale also.

This is quiet possibly the best food I’ve ever had!!! Beef tartare with foie gras is out of this world! Also had a chicory salad with anchovies and dried tomatoes that was perfectly balanced! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely and quiet. This is a must eat when in Milano you won’t regret your choice.

Small portions and definitely over-priced. Amuse bouche: canned(I kid you not) tuna plus pickles Milanese Risotto with gravy sauce(14e): needed something else besides rice Braised beef cheek(24euros): uninspiring Turbot on tomato bruschetta with clams(2 tiny pieces) and artichoke(1 piece)(24euros): tiny portions
