After walking around Milan and finding myself in the cute Brera neighbourhood it started to rain and my tummy was grumbling(as if I wasn’t eating enough this whole trip) but luckily I stumbled upon this really cool place. When I entered there was a long line of business people trying to pay for their meal. I didn’t have reservations so I got worried but they gave me a table right away. This place has cool aesthetics… It felt like I was underground in a winery, the wall was white with wooden floors and tables. They didn’t give us a menu but our menu was recited by the waiter in Italian. After we gave him blank faces he got someone else to tell us the menu for today. The place have different menu everyday so they don’t write out their menu. You can have a 2(€ 18) or 3(€ 25) course meal. There were only 2 types of pasta dishes… One with tomato sauce and prosciutto the other with fish. I ordered the pasta with fish and opted out for the secondi so forgot what they offered. The pasta dish I for was pretty interesting. The fish was stuffed in the pasta and definitely had a fish taste. The dish was good, not for everyone especially if you don’t like the fishy taste. I enjoyed it but I wasn’t crazy about it, I frankly just appreciated the fact that they made different things everyday! I got dolci after and got the chocolate cake… This was rubbish honestly. They said it was a moist chocolate cake but it was dry and was more spongy so it would have definitely soaked up any type of liquid you’d put on it. Didn’t like it at all so I only ate a bit of it and i usually eat any type of sweets. Overall this place is cool cause the chef changes up the menu everyday… I give that a 3 snap… But the taste of the dishes I ate was average and nothing to rave about. Maybe I’ll come back next time and try something different that will wake up my palette.

Rating des Ortes: 5 Milan, Italy
In the heart of Brera, my bf and I love to come here and relax away from the bustle of Milan. The interior is simple, clean and a blend of old brera with modern comfort. They use food from local suppliers and work to cook the food in the healthiest way to preserve it’s nutrients. For anyone trying to be healthy but wanting good Italian food, this is the perfect place. On a Sunday they only offer an all inclusive menu… € 30/person includes everything, service, bread, water, wine, buffet of vegetables, soups, and two choices of meat dishes(today meatballs or veal tonnoto), choice of two pasta dishes(today macaroni with radicchio and Gorgonzola or risotto with fave, an Italian bean similar to Lima beans), a dessert buffet and coffee. The place is family friendly and in the evening the lights are low enough to make it nice for dates, friends, or business dinners. The staff are all very friendly and most know enough English to explain everything clearly. Enjoy!
