I love Donna Fortunata! Their customer service is great, and accommodating of english-speaking patrons! The atmosphere is just right, not too formal and not too fast-foody. The food is savory and the pink dinner wine is locally made and tasteful. Many will disagree with me, but I think Donna Fortunata makes some if the best pasta around. The best pasta that I personally had in all of Sicily came from this little unassuming restaurant, and I was in the country for a bit of time. Can’t recommend enough, you’ll leave full and happy.

Fast service! We were sat quickly and given Bruschetta and a pink sparkly drink. The kids made their own pizza, which they loved! The pizza was great! Overall the staff was polite and quick. It was a great experience! !!

The food here is amazing. The only reason I am deducting a star is for the service, which can sometimes be a bit poor, and for the length of time everything takes. Definitely do not go here for a quick dinner. However, if you have the time to enjoy a couple of hours here, you will not be disappointed in the food.

Outstanding menu with lots of variety! Pasta dishes, pizza, or risotto are all winners. My last order was linguine pasta with shrimps and I was not disappointed. Their own table wine is also very good. They are very accommodating for early eaters and accepted us at 5:30 pm which is ridiculous for Sicily!

I just couldn’t get enough. I was in the area on a business trip and one of my coworkers introduced our group to Donna’s. When I say I owe him the first round, I mean every first round of the day as long as I am here. lol. First off, immediately after walking in, you can feel the homeliness feeling. They made us feel like family as they showed us to our seats. Next, we were greeted with a homemade mixed drink to start our meal. I that moment, I knew this was the place. I’ve been here four times so far and I can not stay away from the Gorgonzola Angus steak. It is a perfectly prepared steak with the creamiest deliciousness I like to call Gorgonzola. Nice atmosphere and great staff make this my #1 place to go to any time I am in the area. To finish off the meal, you can get sugar shots(sugar cubes soaked in alcohol). *This is a must try. Please let me know if you enjoyed it as much as we did.

There are a ton of ristorantes and pizzerias all around Motta, Misterbianco and more; you just have to look. Somehow or another, when going out to dinner, myself and my friends always seemed to find ourselves walking into Donna Fortunata. We had many meals here and never a bad experience during our three or so year stay on the island. Be prepared as the lifestyle in Sicily is at a much slower pace than that of America, and the same goes with ristorantes. You have to let your waiter know when you are ready for the next course because they won’t bring it until you say to. Luckily, Donna Fortunata sees a steady stream of non-Sicilians so this typical part of the culture isn’t really as prominent here. It should also be noted that the menu does have English translation for those who struggle with Italian. A great thing about this place is that as you are waiting for your course, they will bring out small complimentary plates of different things that they have available. These change all the time. It can be caprese one day and bruschetta the next. It just all depends on the day. This is another one of those places that you can order anything and not be disappointed. Pasta, pizza, seafood, steak or you can do what I used to and let the waiter pick for me. Don’t miss out on this awesome and welcoming joint while you are on the island.

The kids and I were looking forward to a nice drive and a nice dinner since very little is within walking distance. Motta is a little town nestled in the hills not far from where we are staying. Teeny tiny cobblestone roads allow Fiats and Vespa’s to navigate with ease. The Christmas lighting adorns the town and makes you feel transported to exactly where you are… a little hidden Italian village. Since my husband had been here before it was easy to find. Parking is wherever you will find it on the street. Dinner is served late in Italy, we arrived at 8 p.m. and the place was empty but we were still welcomed and greeted, «Buena Sera» means Good Evening. Don’t expect speedy anything. The slow pace of Italian life is found everywhere including the restaurants so if you’re in a hurry don’t go to a restaurant in Italy. We were brought complimentary Aperatif and Bruschetta so don’t order the bruschetta as a starter. After having the most fabulous risotto in Rome I was craving some savory creamy rice. The menu offered seafood and artichoke rissotto so I ordered the latter. For me it was a bit salty but my husband thought it was fabulous. My son ordered seafood pasta-linguini with zucchini fresh tomatoes and shrimp. It was very good. My other son ordered a Pepperoni Pizza-the Pepperoni’s are huge and the pizza is like a Medium size pizza back home to plenty to take home. My husband ordered the mussels that came in a white wine, butter and lemony sauce. I only wish it was a bit more on the buttery side, but still this was a big dish that we all dug into. We requested some Chianti and they didn’t have any so I asked for a light red. The waitress was kind enough to serve us by the glass when this particular brand was only sold by the bottle. She was friendly and accommodating. The owner also stopped by to say hello. He was very sweet and made sure to say hello to the children. Italians love little kids so we are never looked at like we’re crazy when we walk into a restaurant with our boys. My mini foodie has such a discerning palate that he prefers a regular menu to kids menu and is more adverturous than I am in his selection of entrees. The restaurant started to slowly fill up as we were leaving two hours later. Donna Fortuna is a popular restuarant tucked away in a litte teeny tiny walkway. Menu has English translations and a variety of entrees to choose from including pizza, chicken, beef, pasta and seafood items. Don’t miss it.

I loved this place, went a view times during my stay in Motta! Tried alot on the menu but the arugula pizza and pumpkin blossums stand out the most in my mind. We called it the«alley restaurant» hard to find but worth the trouble.
