The view, the food and the service all were quite good here. I think the hit for our table was the octopus salad which was huge and tasted amazing! But of course we also had a couple of their pizzas which were also good. Our server was great as was the bartender who went out of his way to try to make an Old Fashioned(not sure we ever got there but his version of it was quite tasty!) Sit, linger awhile and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean. It will give you all the pictures you need for your entire trip!

The view accounted for ½ point of the two stars. Food was so-so. We ordered swordfish and tuna and it didn’t taste fresh– recommend you stick with local seafood only.

The view and alcohol was good but the food not so good. I would give this place 2 stars for their food. I’ve had better Italian food in the U.S. than what we had here. And Italy is suppose to have good food. But I’m giving this place 3 stars because the view is spectacular and the alcohol was pretty darn tasty. My friends and I tried the famous lemoncello for the first time here and it didn’t disappoint. It was sweet yet strong. It was definitely the highlight of our trip down to Positano. We also tried their Moscato which was amazing!!! Soooo gooooood!!! My advice would be to come here for a couple of drinks to enjoy the view. I’m sure at sunset the view would be much more amazing.

We have been to Positano several time before but this was our first night on this trip. We have been to many of the restaurants in Positano, and our Italian friends suggested Café da Vincenzo. We went there without a reservation and were turned away. The maitre’d suggested someplace else but we stumbled upon this on our walk. The place is unassuming from the street, but has a lovely dining area overlooking the sea, and town. We were in a happy mood(who isn’t in Positano? ~ but we had just met up with my sister and brother-in-law), and the waiter was happy to join in. My sister and I are learning Italian and Giuseppe the waiter was more than accommodating. We all had some sort if fish and or pasta, which was all fresh and perfect. This is on my list of places to return to.

Stunning view, especially at sunset time. My wife and I went there and had a great evening. The staff could do with a little smile on their face but apart from that great restaurant. Try and book a table in advance so you get to choose a good seat. A tiny bit pricey but nothing close to being unaffordable.

Fabulous lunch here. Views are incredible and the food is excellent. Was there with a party of eight. Service was very accommodating. Squid ink pasta dish here was one of my most memorable meals in Positano.

The squid ink pasta is to die for! My husband got the seafood risotto which was also great. The views are breathtaking. We didn’t have a reservation but they kindly accommodated us to a table with perfect water views. Excellent service and food.

Delicious food and beautiful views. The eggplant ravioli was one of the best things I had while in Italy. Service was good and attentive. I ordered a Nutella calzone for dessert and my kids stole more than half of it off my plate! I would definitely come back.

DONOTGO here. From New York, I am typically used to curt, sometimes borderline rude service. But that’s expected and totally worth it for the food — because you know it’s going to be the BEST. This place was down right RUDE! They took one look at us(keeping in mind I did my hair all nice and we were both New York chic) told us, «sorry, no tables available» in broken English and gave us a hint to dine elsewhere(btw– there was an open 2 top we saw on our way out that was set up and ready to go!). Well, I was not going to stick around to fight that terrible service. I made my way to Da Vincenzo and had THEBEST experience. Not only were thy super welcoming and friendly, the food was amazing. Do yourselves a favor and AVOID this spot.

This place has gorgeous views on the bay & the city. Their prices are very reasonable(3 course dinner with a bottle of wine for two totaled up to approx 100 euro), and cuperto(the city tax) was only 2 euro per person. The food is very good; for antipasti we had a yummy seafood mix(clams, mussels in tomato broth) & sea bass carpaccio — salty, melt in your mouth quality of fish. Then I had pumpkin gnocchi with clams and bacon — delicious, creamy, savory — I licked my plate clean ;), and A. had lamb shank, which he loved. For dessert we shared a dark chocolate ice cream truffle complimented by a sweet wine with a hint of cherry flavor. The whole experience was unforgettable & very romantic.

Right off the main road, this restaurant is easy to get to and offers a spectacular view of the bay of Positano. Five stars for the view, which is accessible from most of the tables from this magically suspended terrace. Only two stars for the food, however, which was below average of what is available elsewhere in this enchanted town in the price range. The pizza arrived a nearly perfect circle with excellent dough and mozzarella, but the sauce was a disappointment, overly sophisticated and too far from the heavenly local tradition. I next tried a fish dish, an orata in a citrus sauce, actually very elegant and tasty. The fish itself was a bit flaccid while the serving size was small for the price, I thought. The service was fine and, it bears repeating, the view was stunningly gorgeous during daylight and twilight and, at night, nothing short of magical.
