Really cozy family owned restaurant. Ordered the spaghetti carbonara and cheese ravioli in marinara sauce. Very tasty and rustic. Service was attentive and we enjoyed our dinner.

Kleiner netter Familenbetrieb.

We were not feeling very hungry on the evening of our arrival to Rome after a long plane ride, we decided to just sample some pasta dishes but ended up ordering more than intended. — Tagliatelle and spaghetti carbonara = huge portions! — Agnello Scottadito /lamb cutlets — Magretto Vitello /literally means skinny calf or veal Both meats were served with tomatoes and roasted potatoes My first meal in Italy! All were well prepared and absolutely delicious! The restaurant seems to entertain many regular patrons that ordered antipasti including burrata and the antipasti special. I will be sure to ordered them next time I am in town!

We got into town later(9−10pm) and were walking toward another restaurant/gelato place when we were literally stopped in our track by the delicious food smell coming out of this restaurant and had to eat here. No tourist menu with pictures. The waiter was welcoming but barely speaks English and with a heavy Italian accent. Dining room full, but we were the only tourists, it seems. Perfect! Just exactly how I like it. Food was excellent and portion was ridiculously large. Our appetizer of prosciutto melon was basically a whole half melon with the seeds scooped out and filled with prosciutto instead! We also ordered a appetizer sample for 1 person. And the plate that came out was larger than my head and then some. We were full just from the appetizers! This is probably not going to be the type of place you can eat at on the run because it is a slower meal type of place. We were there for like 2 hours plus but who cares… how long does it usually take you to enjoy a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine anyway. Bread & water charge typical of every other restaurants in Rome so we have no complaint about that.

* FOOD was decent. * SERVICE was BAD. They started us out with water and bread(w/out our request) and charged us for them; 4.5 Euro total. Our waiter left us after we ordered our meal. After we finished our meal, we asked for our check and did not receive our check until approx. 10 min after that. On top of everything they charged us, they also added a 10% service charge onto our bill. We’re definitely not returning.
