Agree with all the negative comments as the waiters are very smooth at up selling. Be sure to get the prices in advance and don’t be tricked into ordering something u don’t really want. 20 euros for a beer is ridiculous.

I agree with all the negative comments made here about this restaurant and that annoying guy. It seems his main trick is ripping you off with the appetizers that you did not order. He brings something more expensive and keeps saying it is fresh !! And as mentioned, he pushes hard to sell you something which sucks too. food is quite mediocre and having to deal with that guy is a really bad experience. Totally tourist trap. He is ready waiting to rip off his next customers.

Worst place in our whole trip to italy. My wife and I wound up here quite by mistake because it was late, raining, the recommended restaurant had just closed and we were hungry from just arriving on the island. The same guy mentioned in all the other reviews hustled us into one s****y little sea bass that was nothing but bones. He plopped some pasta on top of the fish he clearly didn’t know how to fillet so the bones are all in the pasta and the whole meal is ruined. We had a salad, some water and maybe a diet coke and voila…113 euros. When we refused to pay he threatened to call the cops, and when my wife called him a thief, he almost attacked us. Do not go here, pass it by on the other side of the street. This vendor is a thief and a criminal and should be put out of business. To put the charge in perspective, the next day we went to an osteria on Murano and 6 of us ate 2 carafes of wine, 6 plates, two appetizers, 2 desserts, water bread… the whole nine yards. 149 euros. And it was really really good, to boot. This bastard charged us 113 euros for the worst meal in Italy. I’ve had better italian food at Olive Garden, it pretty much ruined Venice for us and now I’m mad again just writing this review. DONOTEATHERE. THISPLACEHASNOREDEEMINGQUALITIES.

Run!!! The worst dinner in Italy. The waiter was really rude. We got charged 168Euros for a crappy dinner, a small seabass, ordered a pizza which 2 hours later still didn’t come out of the oven, really loud and very obnoxious staff with no manners. Customer service skills less than negative –10. The waiter added a 15% tip to the bill on top of an already existing cover charge.

Total BS. Same as the terrible reviews below. A complete scam. High pressure on the street to adding things to the order inside to waaaayyy over charging for garbage. He charged 60 Euro for 8 garbage shrimp(like) things and added on a grilled vegetable platter with hardly anything on it for 10 more Euro that we did not ask for. We tried to dispute and talk about the bill and he(the same guy as described in below reviews) ran us over. I am disgusted. You would think the other restaurant owners would run this jerk out of town.

Horrible. Avoid like the plague. Complete tourist trap. This was the only place we did not plan to eat at, but stopped on a whim for a quick lunch. Food was OK, nothing great but edible. The complete ripoff is in the fine print they put at the bottom of the menu. They charge a 2.50 euro cover charge per person just to eat and add a 15% service charge on the bill. Serves me right for not having a lunch plan, but hopefully I can spare others.

One star is one star too much. We got sucked in by the man hustling people in from the streets because we were starving. They put bread on the table despite us telling them we didn’t want it(they charge for bread pretty much everywhere and we just didn’t need it) which they wound up charging us for anyways. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer which wound up being 3 slices of vegetables with a slice of cheese that had the same taste as a kraft single. When our food came, it was gross. My friend got pasta with pesto which was just a plate of limp spaghetti in oil. I got a bland caprese and asked for balsamic repeatedly before the waiter brought some over, dribbled a tiny bit onto my plate, then walked away before I could even say no. The waiters could clearly tell how annoyed we were so they tried to make it up to us by being awkwardly familiar. He hugged my friend as she was walking back from the bathroom and he forced an awkward high five on me as well. It was f*cking weird. When the bill came they had charged us for bread that we hadn’t consumed, charged us € 12 in unrecognizable fees, and charged the wrong price on the terrible appetizer. This place is a tourist trap. Everything in Venice is relatively expensive but seriously don’t waste your time here.

Very friendly, very attentive, informative service and waiter. Good food. Lots of fish and seafood which is what we mainly went for, and why we were sent there by the nice lady at our hotel. I had(not seafood) Spaghetti Carbonara, which was good, but not the best that I’ve had in Italy. Since I’ve been here I’ve had some AMAZING… but thats in Florence, and for another review. Very funny waiter Gigi. A man that looks scary close to Barack Obama. He was very attentive to what we were looking for. He kept pushing more food on us, which we weren’t saying no to, so thats our fault. He gave us a seafood sampling platter with some sardines done in the Venetian way(pickled and sauteed) with onions, octopus, shrimp cocktail, clams, mussles, calamari. All pretty decent. He then proposed two large prawns and two large scampi for us to just taste the differemce. We said«why not?’ My wife had a baked Dorado, which was pretty tasty… but by now she was so full from everything else, she could barely eat half of it. Then came the lemoncello complimentary… very nice, and two rounds, chilled, nearly frozen in iced gasses. Very nice. Then the bill…185 Euro. for dinner for two. Two cokes and 3 glasses of wine as well. This was more than twice the maximum that we had ever paid for dinner on a two week long trip to Italy. Albeit we did not eat at the fanciest of restaurants, and on purpose… we like the small mom and pop places. The dorado was 60 euro itself… Ugh. Too much for one fish for one meal. The waiter did tell us what it was per kilo before we ordered it…6 euro I believe… but we didn’t ask him what that made that single fish come out to… so again our fault. All in all it was good, but not 185 Euros good. I don’t think any fish is worth 60 Euro(or $ 73.00US) any day of the week… even if it’s caught and cooked in front of me. Bottom line… good meal, beware of the hard sell, and it was pricey. Not worth the $$ if you ask me. Stick to the basics and you can probably get out of there without losing your shirt.
