Just an amazing spread of foods from all over. It will satisfy any pallet. I took a group of American students here. They all found something to eat and seemed very content. An old favorite is the Japanese curry rice. Prime rib was super. Finished with gelato. Told you everyone was happy.

A buffet with a well earned reputation amongst the locals, at the 17th floor in the Imperial hotel, a traditional Japanese hotel. We stayed at the imperial for 5 nights and everyday when we try to get to the buffet for lunch they would be completely booked. On the Last night we approached guest relations and expressed our wish to have lunch at their buffet and requested that he assists us in getting a table. Next morning we get a call that our table for 7 will be ready at 11:30!!! We get there and we got greeted at the door and the captain told us that they are expecting us and that our table is ready. We got the best table in the house with 5 star service. The buffet consisted of some traditional Japanese dishes and European. A good balanced combination and variety. The dessert is another story and a must try.

After visiting the best buffet in the world and coming here I wasn’t as impressed. I’m saying this because I payed the exact same amount at that buffet in Singapore and the quality and options here was no where near what I payed for there. I wasn’t impressed with the food. Also as a vegetarian I had to double check which foods did not contain meat because it wasn’t listed. Also I was expecting more traditional food(dumplings, sushi, ramen, etc) As a tourist staying at a hotel that is what I expect to try. The staff were great and the service was good. They were very respectful, I was left impressed.

Dinner with group at the first buffet establishment in Japan — started by the chef of the hotel 50 years ago the tradition of the European Smörgåsbord continues in Japan. Salads and appetizers were fresh and tender and there was also an array of cold cuts, pâté’s and also smoked salmon, duck etc… Quite a selection. Small individualized tidbits served in a little copper pot such as the escargot in a light cream sauce were delicious as were the sides of vegetables, pasta etc. Entrees varied from pasta, lasagna and several other dishes. The meat was a large slab of roast beef and although I got a piece that was a little more cooked than I like, it was delicious and tender. Overall a great experience. I liked the view and the entire ambiance as well as the usual excellent service that comes standard in most places in Japan.

Came here with my sister for breakfast while staying at the Imperial Hotel, and it was pretty amazing. :’) They put us in a little private room with a few other guests, and we were able to enjoy a more quiet area since the rest of the place was bustling. The breakfast was one of the three that you could choose, and we came to this one for the buffet and more Western food. They also had a Japanese buffet side in this same buffet, but I didn’t get to try it. There actually isn’t much of a selection of food — just your standard scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. There was also smoked salmon and cute pancakes(they were like 2″ in diameter! so cute) and lots of fruits. Their mangoes were reallly good. Service here was amazin(like any place in Japan). Wish I could come back but the breakfast is like $ 40 lol…
