Convenient location, clean, well-organized, very professional staff. There’s even coffee in the lobby for your convenience and free shoyu ramen in the restaurant at night. Natural hot spring on the 9th floor? Yes, please! There’s even an open-air pool and it’s really peaceful. Laundry is easy to use, vending machines are strategically-placed so you never go thirsty, and Kyoto Station is less than a block away. Just be prepared for all the tour groups that trek through, though honestly, this hotel is so streamlined and so well-organized that I didn’t even notice!

Rooms are very Small but the shower is generous size compared to the room. Clean, fridge available. Basic necessities are provided… toothbrush, toothpaste hair dryers, etc. Full size shampoo and conditioners and body size provided too. Breakfast is totally yummy… buffet of western and Japanese dishes. Free ramen at night time for guests. Love their onsen, it was clean and relaxing. Washer and dryers available. to wash is free and drying cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. Even detergent is provided. Connected to Lawson’s, similar to 7 – 11,open 24 hours for food and drinks. Very convenient and close to the Kyoto bus and train station. Definitely will stay here again, staff is very friendly and is available to help.

The location of the Dormy Inn is just about a block or two from the Kyoto train station. It’s perfect for people hopping off the Shinkansen, since it’s not a long walk(as long as you find the correct exit from Kyoto Station). The room and the shower are relatively spacious, the beds are comfortable and the toilets are equipped with Toto Washlet bidet seats(which is apparently standard equipment in Japan!). The top floor had a hot spring bath area and there were signs for free noodles after 11pm in the hotel restaurant. I was unable to use these features due to time constraints. So the price was reasonable, the location was great and the rooms were comfortable and relatively spacious. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Kyoto in the future.

Dormy inn is a great little hotel that is located just across the street from the Kyoto station. This hotel has pretty much everything the business or leisure traveller would need and it is reasonably priced. The natural baths here make this a go to spot for many people looking to relax. As you enter the lobby, you are greeted by friendly staff that provides fantastic service. Breakfast was included with my stay. One thing to note; the rooms are extremely small, but very typical for a Japanese hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto. Pros– Location Service Very modern Natural baths Free wifi Free Breakfast Price Cons– Small rooms Breakfast didn’t taste all that good Small elevators

I stayed here during my 2 days in Kyoto and enjoyed the hotel. It came out to $ 320 for 2 rooms for 2 nights which seems like a steal. Check in and check out was quick and efficient. It’s located very close to the JR Kyoto station and next door to a 24 hour Lawson. Rooms were small but comfy and they have good quality air purifiers. They had 2 sizes of robes and sandals for you to wear. The hotel serves free ramen at night and while I didn’t try any I peaked in a it looked pretty good. On the day we checked out we went to Nara in the morning and the hotel gladly held our bags until we came back. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back on my next trip to Kyoto.

It is one of the nation-wide hotel chains. I knew its existence and probably stayed overnight elsewhere(sorry I forgot). When I was walking on Shiokoji street, I happened to discover this business hotel, Dormy in Kyoto. I found the signboard saying«Natural Hot Spring» and stopped in front of the hotel. As for business hotel, only small and narrow unit bath is installed in a room. However here you can take a wide public hot spring, if you stay here. I was interested in the service, so I entered the hotel. Around the front a wooden large object was so outstanding! I asked the front staff whether it is OK for visitors(not guests) to enter the bath, if they pay the admission fee. She politely declined it. Only guests can take the bath. It is regrettable! So I will recommend this hotel to a friend of mine in Saitama, when she comes to Kyoto. Anyway, the attractive seasonal service is shaved ice! Shaved ice is provided to all the guests when they stay at the hotel. According to branches various different services are provided! So check out!
