This is a cool modern hotel property located in Kyoto and just below Kyoto station. This location is very easy on the eyes and provides a lot of great amenities for its guests. As you walk in, you’ll notice the modern features and extremely friendly staff that is welcoming you to their property. The staff is extremely accommodating and really goes out of their way to make sure you are happy. The property is awesome and the rooms themselves are nothing to write home about, as the are extremely small but very typical for Kyoto. I have to comment on the shower, the shower water pressure practically knocks you over as you shower which is awesome, IMHO but maybe uncomfortable for others… Regardless, the location is awesome and the hotel itself is great, recommended. Pros– Staff Location Modern amenities Bathrooms Shower water pressure Cons– Hard bed/pillows Small rooms Near train tracks

Although this is a business hotel(rooms are usually smaller compared to regular hotels), the room had enough space for my daughter and I to stay for 2 nights. We had the standard room with 2 twin beds, which we were thankful that our relatives booked for us at such a great deal(our 2-night stay was under 40,000y). Check-in was 3:00p, check-out 11:00a. This is conveniently located in the Kyoto Station, near the Kintetsu line(obviously, by the name). It’s kind of away from the busy station area and near Miyako-michi, a mall area with omiyage shops, cafes, restaurants, and a convenience store. When heading back towards the main station area(up the short escalator), there’s also a small café and a bakery(DonQ). Our room keys were card keys(got two of them) that we used to get on the elevator as well as inside our room. We also had to leave it in the slot on the wall next to the door to turn on the main electricity line(lights, TV, etc.). As mentioned above, we had enough room, but it was comparatively small(16 square meters) so it may feel cramped for tall people. If anything, we heard the trains coming and going since it was right next to the Kintetsu line(our window was overlooking the Kintetsu platform and railways), but it wasn’t as loud as I thought it’d be and we were tired enough from all day excursions that it didn’t bother us much.
