A good introduction to Japanese Tea Ceremony performed by two ladies dressed in traditional kimono. This place was highly recommended by our tour guide, who is a priestess/monk. The lady who demonstrated the art of tea ceremony has 30 years of training & she was very wise & friendly; she also spoke enough English. There was a question & answer at the end of the ceremony, in-case people had any questions. My husband & I already have some knowledge how it’s done during our visit in Tokyo & this demonstration in Kyoto confirmed what we learned, which was cool. This place was able to fit about 15 people. There was a very small garden inside the tea house. We were individually served a pretty & colorful flower shaped Japanese sweets. We experienced mixing our matcha tea & hot water with our tools, to form perfect bubbles which makes for the perfect tea. It was delicious & a wonderful experience!!!
