After several days of fish, eggs, rice and noodles, I was craving a crunchy green salad like nobody’s business. Finding a salad or vegetable dish in Japan generally is a challenging task, especially if you don’t eat meat or chicken. We were randomly searching the area near our hotel when we stumbled upon their chalkboard advertising a daily salad special. Bingo! Our waiter spoke great English and was able to get the chef to make my salad sans meat. If you’ve ever traveled Japan, you can appreciate them having flexibility on this! My salad was excellent, exactly what I wanted. They even had a large bottle of Pellegrino I could quench my thirst on. Dessert was equally delectable. The place feels very young, very European and trendy. A nice change of pace.

I go for lunch or dinner when I come to see the movie with my friends in the same building. The restaurant is in the second floor of the COCONKARASUMA, and there are two ways to go there. The easiest way is go from the stars right next to the«Aux Bacchanales». K.620 has two places to eat, one will be on the same floor with the kitchen of K.620. and another place will be near the Karasuma street and is placed higher than the kitchen floor. The higher eating area has a nice view that I mostly chose this section. If you could sit in the back of the floor you could enjoy the street and the view of the 1st floor. The lunch plat are reasonable(1000yen) and quite delicious. You could change the set coffee or tea to beer or wine, which is not that common in Kyoto. Dinner as well are very tasty, and not that expensive if I concern the ingredients. There are various types fro Tapas and other food that was good to have with drinks. I always tell the waiter that I’m here for movie, in case me and my friends enjoys the food and talks that we almost forget about the movie.(Once I had entered the restaurant quite late but the waiter had managed us to be on time to serve me and my friend the dinner) The cakes are ok, but I prefer to eat lunch or dinner here.
