I asked a male shop owner, «Is your name Kinzo?» He replied to me, «No. My surname is Ninomiya, so in my school days I was called Kinchan». Kinchan, cute sound! The surname Ninomiya reminds us Japanese of Kinjiro Ninomiya who was an agricultural leader and philosopher during the Edo period. The name of his shop derived from the famous philosopher. Very cute episode. When I passed in front of the shop on five past ten, he was preparing for opening. It usually opens at ten in the morning, but he was a little late for it. The owner said that the shop is sometimes slow open. I felt that time went by in a slow pace here, which made me cozy. I was at a loss to have cinnamon doughnut which has two choices, one for wet texture and crunchy one. I decided on crunchy one at 140 yen. Its mild sweet taste and crunchy texture satisfied me so much. It took approximately one hour or so after it was fried. Favorable timing! It was not hot at all, but crunchiness increased. Ingredients are domestic wheat flour, soy milk, sugar beet, egg and the like, the owner elaborately selects. He saw me having the doughnut yummy in smile and treated me additional one, bean curd doughnut, which was also amazing!!! The texture was different from the one I had and it was soft and wet. Both of them I cared for. I envy the local persons who can buy such awesome sweets in their daily lives.
