A Japanese friend recommended Hayashi and thank god he did! It was literally around the corner from our accommodations so we popped by for lunch on our first day in Tokyo. The line was about 5 people deep, but let me tell you people move quick. Since it’s a lunch destination you order from a vending machine, grab whatever empty seat is available at the bar(you may not be able to sit together), and hand your ticket to the chef. FYI — there are about 10 seats available. The chef prepares your bowl within minutes and you eat. You do not stop until that bowl is finished and you give up your seat to the next person in line. People are basically eating in silence because there isn’t time to chat. Don’t take this the wrong way, I didn’t feel stressed or a sense of urgency, it was still a great meal. If you are a ramen fan I highly recommend a trip to Hayashi. The broth had layers of flavor, the egg was cooked perfectly, and the noodles were a slight al dente, aka perfection.

Very nice Ramen noodle restaurant. Hayashi has only three type of Ramen, Normal, with boiled egg and with Chinese-style barbecued pork. But, they has secret menu. It is Shio(Salt) taste soup ramen. If you want to try it, please say«Shio» to master.
