Ok Sushi, not the best not the worst. There is better sushi out there, but this place does the trick in a pinch.

I’ve driven by this place a few times and wondered about the food so today I stopped in for a quick lunch. It’s bright and clean inside but very small(two tables and 3 singles on a counter). The owners are very pleasant and service was great. I started with a miso soup that I enjoyed, not the best I’ve had, but not bad at all. I followed that with California rolls and spicey dynamite rolls. They were pleasant and average size. Everything tasted fresh and well made. I guess I’m sitting here asking myself why would I come back here? I mean it’s above average but not amazing sushi, priced per roll/item with no specials, and is very small. I think this will be a first /last visit for me unfortunately and since I ate in an empty restaurant it makes me wonder if other customers have similar thoughts. What a shame.

You won’t find better sushi. All prepared authentically using quality ingredients like wild salmon, really nice red tuna, all fresh every time we visit. The owners are friendly and creative… and from Japan. It’s a real experience. The Wakame(seaweed) salad is amazing.

I lived in Japan for two years. Yoshi Sushi is my favourite place in Barrie for Japanese. People kept taking me to Konoe when I moved here, but at Yoshi the fish is better, the rice is better, even the wasabi is better. I recommend you eat here instead.
