Video Difference

I was looking for a movie. Halifax did not have it in but they suggested I call Bedford location. Bedford had it and even offered to let me return my other Halifax movie rentals to them since I would be at their store. You guys rock.

There are two main things that set Video Difference apart for me from the competition (well, three I suppose, if I count the fact that they’re locally owned and operated). First, the selection. Although this location is much smaller than the Quinpool store, it still boasts a great variety of movies and box sets, including a fair number of indie films as well as older and more obscure gems.
Second, the customer service. The staff are always friendly and helpful at both locations, and I’ve never had a customer service issue at either one, but I find they really go the extra mile at this one especially. Possibly because they aren’t as busy here as at the other location, so they have more time to focus on the customer. I’m always greeted cheerfully, and if they don’t have something I’m looking for, they’ll either try to track it down at the other store, or suggest another avenue I might be able to try. I never feel like I’m taking time out of their day by asking a question or seeking service, like I do from time to time at other businesses.
If you’re in the area, and in the mood to rent a movie, or are looking for a season of your current favourite show (tip: if you’re into British television series, they, like the one on Quinpool, have a whole section devoted to these), check them out. You’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. And don’t worry about having to get back there to return your rentals, because you can take them to the one in town, or at any of their several other drop off locations around the city.
