My $ 5 latte came from a super automatic(e.g. Big Keurig) and was watery and tasteless. I was rather disappointed. I need an espresso shop to make me one on an semi-automatic by an experienced barista(grind the beans, tamp the portafilter, pour the shot, steam the milk, pour milk — all with skill). That is a $ 5 dollar drink. What I got was from a badly functioning machine, and it was worth $ 1.50 at Zehrs take out market.

Mediocre but very pricey. We had the apple cider and apple pie. Nothing to write home about.

I ventured in here because it showed up as one of the top places on Unilocal in the village — the homer donut is delicious, I’ve had two so far and am planning to get another before I leave. It taste nice and fluffy with a slight berry flavour. The homemade croissants are amazing, buttery, fluffy and crispy. I also had a caramel latte to change it up from Starbucks and it was good — the prices are just on the higher end but I’d still go back.

Usually come here for an espresso when I visit the village. Used to be one of the better espressos but it looks like they’ve changed their machine to one of those super automatics. Quality has suffered. Might as well go to Starbucks. So disappointing

Really liked the breakfast sandwich. It had ham, bacon, cheese, egg and maple ketchup. The bread was very good too. The green tea was ok. Looked like a Starbucks green tea but wasn’t as strong. Overall, a nice place for breakfast.

breakfast sandwiches are not that good. service is slow and uninformed. drinks are what ever. OJ is not fresh squeezed. donuts aren’t bad. they play this really fast paced jazzy type music which is not relaxing.

Really good coffee. Nice place with homemade pastries. Maybe a little over-priced breakfast sandwiches.

For some quality food, doens’t seem much options in the village. This café brought me in because of it’s baked goods. Mmm so many pastries, gluten free items all freshly baked. We got a freshly baked chocolate croissant which was actually really good. I can’t say the same about the grilled ham and cheese sandwich that I got. It was good, but at $ 9, I don’t know if it was relaly worth it when we just had a burger next door for the same price. It’s unfortunate that the sitting in this café is loud, and not really made for lounging. You can sit on the muskoka chairs outside, but inside the chairs are flimsy and it’s really noisy.

I love coming here whenever I am at Blue Mountain. I love sitting with my drink and my baked goods in the blue Muskoka chairs on their patio and just chilling the EFF out. Like majorly chilling. You know what I mean? Relaxation maximus. They’ve got a great vibe. Nice service. I love their coffee. I love their baked goods. Go. Enjoy. Love. And… chilllll the EFF out.

Lets keep this short and to the point. If you want a good coffee, latte, cappucino… go to Royal Majesty. You will not be let down. The coffee is EXCELLENT. My girlfriend and I once drove to Blue Mountain from Mississauga just to have their latte and cappuccino. This place is THAT good. The Starbucks around the corner is NOMATCH for this place. The service is also very good. The only reason for 4 stars is that this place is expensive. The cost of a regular latte or cappuccino is 5 bucks which is over-priced in my opinion. Overall, this is a must visit if you travel to Blue.

Great coffee… great choice of snacks and light meals. They have GF items too! Small place; not too many tables and it did get very busy but again somewhere decent to chill out; have a warm drink in the cold! Fast service and as another reviewer said it is a nice alternative to Starbucks… when you are faced with limited choices in Blue mountain. Most impressively they had a decent range of sugar free syrup for your coffee!

Nice alternative to Starbucks. Great looking treats. Hot chocolate is disappointing — 5 bucks for instant Carnation brand — although they steam the milk. Not a highlight
Honestly they make awesome Latte’s here — normally I am a Starbucks kinda Guy but these guys have them beat — add to that order a warmed up chocolate chip cookie or one of those scones — I’m a big fan yummmmm…

My latte was very good, but my chocolate chunk cookie was large and nothing special. It took twenty minutes for me to wait in line and finally receive my coffee. Two girls were on the cash registers taking orders faster than they could be made. One guy was making coffees and teas while the small waiting space filled with people waiting with numbers. The strangest part is that they hand out numbers yet serve customers out of order. Two people who ordered after me were served before me. Why bother with the number system!

We went searching for caffeinated beverages. Since Starbucks had already closed for the evening, we went to Royal Majesty instead. Paul managed to sweet talk his way into getting an employee discount on his latte. I had a Misto-Americano, with four espresso-shots. My confidence was faltering because of a slight curl in my hair that I couldn’t get out. A mild anxiety attack, regarding the state of my hair, was averted when the server, at Royal Majesty, commented that my highlights looked good. After this positive comment towards my hair, I quickly regained my composure. We conducted a Confidence Check; I was back up to 95%, and Paul was at 100%. On that note, we set back out into The Village.

Black Cat Coffee and an ice-cream sandwich were the order of the day. The coffee was decent enough but the ice-cream sandwich! It was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey. They are not quite as advertised(as big as yo’ head!) but they are very large, but sadly a little lean on the ice-cream. The ice-cream however is absolutely excellent! It’s REAL, as in just like it would be if you had made it yourself with heavy cream. Delicious, but very melty. There were other goodies in the case, but I ran out of money and desire for sweets. I’ll be back for a butter tart.
