I had a group of people on a hike and planned to go to another pub but they turned out to be closed for the season so we went to Bowen Island Pub instead and they were great! they were able to take our group last minute and the service and food were good. When we visit Bowen again, we will likely stop here again!

–By Vancouver standards that the décor is a little week — lots of beer selection — patio is nice if you can get it — go up the stairs to find the entrance — food isn’t bad in the selection seems to be growing — certainly seems to be a place where a lot of locals go — not really built as a tourist place — prices are all around the island. And here is no different. 40+ for 2 people to eat dinner with 1 drink each.

This place recently got resurrected by a new owner, and it’s very hopeful, the direction it’s heading in. Some new island blood from the Granville Island Hotel, who has discovered Bowen is more than Neverland to raise his family in. The food offerings are limited, but good value and tasty so far. Good luck to him and I hope he continues to thrive here

Well besides the fact that Bowen Island will soon be my future home, this pub is wonderful. With lots of open space and great views, I can easily see myself spending my nights here huddled up with friends, eating pub food and drinking beer after beer. Plus I finally tried poutine here. And it wasn’t bad… it wasn’t bad at all…
* Solid pub with a nice patio * After a long day of exploring the island what better way to relax than a visit to the local pub? This pub is just a little bit less touristy than Doc Morgan’s which is down the block. They had a special on Big Rock Warthog Ale, and it was a nice pint(and reasonably priced as well!). Every day from 4 to 5:30 wings are half price. We got a huge plate of honey garlic wings that was served with blue cheese dressing to dip into. The wings were really nicely prepared and the sauce was flavourful. The ribs were some of the most tender ribs I have had in BC. They were covered in Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. The ribs didn’t have the taste of a truly slow smoked rib, but were very tasty nevertheless. They were accompanied by beer battered fries(which were served hot and crispy!) and a salad. The salad was the weakest part of the visit, but who goes to a pub for a salad anyway!!! Overall very solid pub food, with a bunch of local characters chatting about their days. A nice end to the day before catching the water taxi back to Vancouver.
