Tried Rayhoon for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. The customer service was excellent, staff were constantly checking in to see how everything was. I had the koobideh Kanon and was pleasantly suprised. The food was delicious and it came incredibly fast. I’d definitely recommend this to friends and family and will definitely be returning.

I really enjoyed my experience here. This was my first time trying Persian food and I have to say the food was really good. My boyfriend and I was in Burlington to visit his friend and decided to have lunch here. The food was very flavorful. We ordered a lot of dishes to share. I think the Fasenjoon was one of the favorites with all the guys. We changed out of of the rices to the Barbari Bread. Oh the Barbari Bread was my favorite. It was SOGOOD!!! I also liked the Ghalieh Mahi too. We also ordered desert after our meal. We ordered the Baghlava and the Rollette. I thought the Baghlava was a bit too sweet for me. But I really enjoyed the Rollette. I also ordered their Persian tea(tea with cardamon). I liked the tea too, although I would of preferred it to be stronger but I typically drink really strong tea. Overall, I really enjoyed the food here and the service here. It was a very good experience. I would definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

Nice place with excellent food and service. I wish they used real saffron and not food coloring.

The rice was bland, with no real saffron in it, only yellow food colouring. The Zeytoon Parvardeh seemed like they were canned olives. The Fesenjoon had fatty, grizzle pieces of uneatable chicken and the sauce was so sugary and didn’t have any of the other flavours in it. The Addas Polo was over seasoned with raisins, which caused it to be too sweet, and yet bland at the same time. The Dahl Addas was watery and lacked flavour. Bad wine list/selection for by the glass… over priced Beaujolais. We were so disappointed, because we were really looking forward to eating here after many good reviews. –maybe it was a bad night for the kitchen? I dont know but too bad I’ll never know bc I won’t be back.

It’s as authentic, as it can get. First discovered it last year in the summer, and we’ve been coming here ever since. Not only is the ambience and the food incredible, but you’ll always find it very welcoming. Locally-owned business, so you’re bound to run into the owner, who happens to be the nicest person you will ever meet. Try to make a reservation, since they’re usually busy on the weekend. There’s a nice little patio outside in the summers, and if anything you MUST try there Akhbar Mashti(Ice cream), you’ll thank me later for it.

If you want small portions and burnt beef koobideh kebabs then come here. I’ve tried many persian restaurants and this doesn’t compare. It’s more expensive then the others and you get less with lower quality. Our koobideh was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The owner walks around the restaurant which is weird. The waitresses are young girls who really don’t know much about the food or the culture. We had to ask for butter when this should come withy every meal

Went here and ordered kebab koobideh. It was the worst koobideh I’ve had. The outside was burnt and black and the inside was raw. The sizes were small and not comparable to other Persian restaurants. For the price, the portions and quality are low.

Really enjoyed this place! Stopped in with mamma bear while visiting Burlington. We sat outside on a lovely patio and enjoyed the great outdoors with some delicious food. The dip trio starter with a side of house made barberi(?) bread was so yummy! We opted for the basil hummus, spinach yogurt dip, and the walnut pomegranate olives, all delish. Mom chose the lamb main which came with saffron rice and a grilled tomato — super tasty. I chose the veggie stew(I can’t remember the name) with a side of saffron rice, it was so so good. We ate until we were stuffed and still had leftovers for the next day. Too bad this place is so far away, I want to return again soon!

Good food. Reasonable prices to little pricey. Nice ambience. we ordered the Koubedh and chicken sheesh kebab. also pita bread with the yogurt sauce. service was very nice. the food was fresh but a little cold and could have been great if served fresh from the kitchen. It probably sat some where for a while. Would have given 5 stars for warmer food and a little larger portions.

It is as good as it gets! My fiancé and I randomly found this magical place. Everything was amazing from service to the food. For starters we had Zeytoon Parvardeh, the flavor was quite powerful, and worked well with the bread that was served with it. If you want something Tangy and sweet, thats the starter for you. For entrée we had Fesenjoon and Lamb Shank with Baghali Polo. Fesenjoon’s dish was once again very flavourful and is now my favourite dish. For the Lamb Shank dish the meat fell right off the bone, and the rice had a nice balanced light falvor from the dill and beans. Since it was my fiancé’s birthday, the waitress added a complimentary cake. THANKYOU!

The place was warm, cosy and tastefully decorated in a beautiful part of Burlington.(Nothing tacky like some other middle eastern eateries) . The food was awsome. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We ate«Koobideh» this time, will definitely come back soon for trying«Baghali polo» which the owner promised will be even better.

It was my first time there. I found it very cozy and lovely to spend time with my loved ones. The food was amazing, tasty and exactly like an original one(Persian in Iran) which I barely could find in Canada. The portion was big enough so we as 3 people were full with only two dishes of Soltani Kebab with Rice. I highly recommend you to go there and I can assure you you will enjoy. It locates in a very beautiful neighborhood near lake shore. I plan to go there again with my friends as a weekend plan and take walk to the area as well.

Rayhoon is a busy place on a Saturday night! It was definitely good that we had a reservation, because there were a number of people waiting for a table. They have a limited number of draught beers, so we started with a reasonably priced Stella. Because there were 6 of us, we got two of the dip trios, and were able to try every type. While the dips didn’t wow me(I thought the yogurt dips were a bit too plain), the Persian-style bread you can purchase with it was warm and wonderful. I was there with a few regulars who normally have items from the grill, which I was able to try and were pretty good — the saffron rice is the real show stopper. I tried the chicken/walnut/pomegranate curry, Fesenjoon, which I thought was kind of blah. It’s a weird flavour combination of sweet and sour, which was unique but not for me. We had kind of a complicated bill, we wanted it divided across the 6 and the apps divided as well, but it kind of took a ridiculous amount of time to get it. The service overall was ok, but with this delay plus the servers not coming around to hangs out our bottles of water, I thought the service left a bit to be desired. Apparently this place is great for authentic Persian food(I’ve never had it before), so it could be worth stopping by, but I’m not sure I’ll be back.

Really enjoyed it! Can’t believe it’s not in the top 10 restaurants of Burlington. I’d recommend the ghormeh sabzi if you’re looking for something interesting. Also in a really cute part of Burlington.

Wonderful place! The décor and building are very inviting. Just be aware that this place is tucked back a little bit off the street, it is in a courtyard. The sign isn’t huge, so just park for the block it is on and take a walk and you will find it. We had barbari bread and zeytoon parvardeh for our appetizer. Really good combo, very enjoyable. The bread was puffy and warm. The zeytoon is sliced green olives dressed with pomegranate, walnut, lemon and herbs. For entrees I had a hard time deciding as many things sounded wonderful, but I ended up going with the ghalieh maui. Wow! This was a great dish. The aroma of the fresh herbs and garlic in this dish when it came to my table was out of this world. The tilapia in it was so tender. Wonderful. Served with saffron infused rice. My Mom had a little trouble deciding what to have as she doesn’t have a ton of experience with middle eastern cooking. She asked for a sample of one of the dishes, fesenjoon. It was too sweet for her to eat as a whole meal, but it was delicious! It was very nice of the staff to allow a sample. She ended up choosing the chicken kabob that came with saffron infused rice that you mix butter and roasted tomatoes in. This was wonderful as well. The chicken was perfectly cooked, very tender. So very glad that I found the reviews for this place on Unilocal and that we gave it a try. Much better eating experience that the Ikea cafeteria! lol We will be back for sure on our next Ikea or concert trip to Burlington. Highly recommended if you like middle eastern cuisines or are just open to trying new food out.

Thought we would give it a try and were not disappointed. Excellent service followed up with excellent Persian food. Tried three of the appetizer dips to start, which were all very good. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the fesenjoon, both very very good. Heading back on Feb 20th for the buffet and the belly dancer.
