REALLY good pizza, not cheap, but good. Spectacular crust. We had the 5 cheese pizza and one of the cheeses is blue cheese, Just excellent. Nice restaurant with a great small patio. EASILY the best pizza in Burlington, likely the best in 20 years. I’ll be back for sure.

Just had the Meetza. OMG. Finally a real pizza. They definitely do it right. The pizza was incredible. They deserve to have the name Meetza, cuz they don’t hold back on the meat toppings. After eating the pizza I had tonight, makes it difficult to ever eat the same old bs served by the big chain brands serving garbage to make a buck. If people only knew they can get the real deal here they would make pizza pizza go broke. TLC vs assembly line frozen garbage. It’s a no brainer. It’s places like this that make it worth eating out! The real deal. Keep it up!

I absolutely love this place. Went here with a few friends and while we were waiting for a table of 4 to free up, we were seated at the bar enjoying some drinks. As soon as a table freed up, we were promptly seated. We started with the jalapeño popper dip and garlic knots and both were very delicious. The bread was freshly baked and the dip was devoured. The garlic knots were very tasty and the garlic was not overwhelming. On to the pizzas, we ordered the spicy salami & wild honey as well as the fig & prosciutto. These are definitely some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The sweetness of the honey complimented the salami very well and likewise for the fig/prosciutto combination. While the pizzas are a bit pricey, the flavours and quality make it worth while. Cannot wait to come back!

First… server was great. All staff were warm and welcoming as I was with my young kids. It was good pizza and calamari… Little pricey but it’s ranked as a must return. Without children perhaps.

Son of a Peach was featured on You Gotta Eat Here a few weeks ago, and as soon as the episode aired, I knew it was just a matter of time before I was cramming one of those luscious-looking pizzas into my mouth. And indeed I did make the drive to Burlington one fine Saturday. The centerpiece of the episode was the Meatza, which comes topped with house tomato sauce, spicy salami, house made meatballs, house made sausage, local smoked bacon, whole milk, and house smoked virgin mozzarella. I’ll state right off the bat that this was one of the very best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. And I’ve eaten a *lot* of pizza. The toppings were all absolutely perfect, but I must single out the meatballs. One would expect a meatball that’s been thrown into a pizza oven to be somewhat dry, and yet the meatballs atop this masterpiece were flavorful and juicy — to the extent that my dining companion and I were lamenting the menu’s lack of a spaghetti and meatball dish.(I should also note that the tomato sauce was pretty much the best thing ever.) We should have been content with one pizza, but we couldn’t resist also ordering JJ’s Hawaiian(house made tomato sauce, fresh chunky pineapple, local smoked bacon, local in-house smoked 100% canadian peameal bacon, house pickled jalapeño peppers, whole milk, and house smoked virgin mozzarella). While this wasn’t quite as good as the Meatza(but really, what is?), JJ’s Hawaiian is easily the best variation on the Hawaiian pizza I’ve ever had. This may have been the first time I’ve ever ordered a Hawaiian that didn’t have canned pineapples on it, and for that alone it deserves respect.(And that bacon is 100% a cut above anything you’d ordinarily find on a pizza.) And as if that wasn’t enough gluttony, we finished off the meal with the double-chocolate, marshmallow-topped brioche. I’ll admit that this was the one weak link. It was kind of like Cinnabon, but with a much richer, chocolatier flavor — which is fine, certainly, but it was a little dry(from reheating, I would guess). Don’t get me wrong, this was quite a tasty dish but it was certainly anticlimactic after those magnificent ‘zas.

At first it was the restaurant name that caught my attention. I was in the Burlington area for work and was looking for something to eat. Through browsing Unilocal,I knew that their pizza looked good but when I walked it I didn’t expect the décor to be so cool!!! They have fresh flowers, lots of windows, and an open kitchen. I ordered The Meatza flavour pizza which consists of bacon, spicy salami, and meatballs. Definitely for any meat lovers out there! My friends tried the«prosciutto and fig» and«the spicy salami and honey» but they both said that mine tasted the best. My bill came to about $ 30 so be prepared to spend more than you normally would for one pizza.

The key to great pizza is the crust, and their crust is very good. I sat at the bar where you can watch them make your pizza. I had the fig and prosciutto pizza. the ingredients were fresh, the cheese excellent, and the flavors well balanced. It was off-season for Burlington when I was there(a cold day in early April), but the place was still busy when many other restaurants in the area were very quiet. It seems the locals have discovered this place and you should too!

The exterior and the clever name piqued my interest and drew me in, but the spicy salami and wild honey pizza is what blew me away. Hands down, the BEST pizza I have ever had. If it was cheaper and I lived closer to Burlington, I would honestly come here every week. I got a large for takeout(~$ 40 after tax and tip) and shared it with a friend. I bet it would’ve tasted even better pipping hot of the oven(the last couple of slices were colder than I like my pizza to be) and eating said pipping hot pizza under those cool looking bulb lights. Now, onto the spicy salami and wild honey pizza itself. What a wonderful paring of ingredients! Who knew honey on pizza tasted so good? Not only did I love the innovation of the ingredients but also how fresh it all tasted(everything is all made in-house did ya know?) I’m usually not a huge fan of the crust but this one was fluffy and exceptional. Next time I want to try the fig and prosciutto pizza. It looks scrumptious and if you can’t tell I’m really digging the sweet and savory pizza combination. I highly recommend this place if you live in Burlington. If you don’t, I still recommend it! It’s honestly worth a stop if you ever drive by on the 401.

WOW!!! What an extraordinary place! Freshest food I’ve ever experienced!!! I was satisfied with just the Garlic knots and sauce, then came the salad with citrus/pome grant dressing!!! The marinara with the knots to die for!!! We had to box up our pizza due to running late for our flight out of buffalo! Pizza amazing as well. Everything was like I tasted it for the first time. The staff were super friendly and family like! Décor was beautiful. Very well done Son of Peach! What a gem we found. Thank you for preparing such an amazing meal before our departure from Burlington, Ontario!!!

I went here last night with my dining group. I had heard good things and decided to give it a whirl. Atmosphere– When you walk n you feel immediately comfortable. .the bright blue walls and counters resemble more of a coffee shop than a pizzeria. The second room we entered has the most unique puffs of feathers for lights. The walls are lined with Andy Warhol Marilyn’s. The whole room looks like it is something in a dream. Food– 1) Caesar salad– Very lemony. A little too lemony. The one thing that was fantastic in it was the candied smoked on site bacon. Wow! I would come here for just that! Most of us ordered the pizza. We agreed that the thin crust had a fantastic flavour. One of our diners had a pizza that was obviously burned. They easily replaced the pizza which is a good trait and the chef came out and apologized. Our Pizzas included– 2) Meatza– Excellent with a load of flavour 3) Hawaiian– pineapple, that fantastic bacon, and ham with cheese– really nice combination. 4) Mushroom– wonderful 5) Prosciutto and fig– I really liked this one. I asked for extra cheese, was told there was extra cheese, however, it did not look or taste like there was extra cheese. I wish it had had extra cheese. There were also a few people who ordered the burger 6) Burger with double patties and 2 strips of that candied smoked bacon(love it!) This came with taro chips(salt and way too much vinegar) The burger reviews were excellent. if the taro chips had been flavoured with anything else i think more would have liked them. Service– We had one waitress for 19 people. she was exceptional. I think her name was Wendy(That may be wrong) She was extremely attentive for someone with such a large group. Our dishes came out in shifts but for a small restaurant with a big group this is expected. When the pizzas came out they were hot and delicious. After dinner we brought in a cake. Our waitress not only brought plates for us she served the cake! Thanks so much. She helped make our experience wonderful. Impression– I will be back. If you plan to go they only take reservations for 8 or more people. If you don’t have 8 then go early and plan to wait. Next time I will try the garlic knots I read so many good thing about.

If there were a half-star I’d give Son of a Peach a 3−½ star rating. The décor is warm and inviting, and, while the restaurant isn’t huge, the tables aren’t crowded together, so seating is comfortable. The tables around the open oven area, so you can sit and watch the staff throw pizza dough, smear tomato sauce on top and slide the fresh pizza into the oven. it was early March when we visited. We sat on the opposite side of the door, but could still feel a chilly draft every time the door opened. Luckily, the garlic knots were a warm soft bit of garlicky salty bread — excellent on a chilly winter day. The pizza was good, but to be honest, it was nothing outstanding(hence the 3.5 stars). The crust was a thin, crispy base for fresh-tasting toppings, and the pizza was piping hot. Everything was highly salted. Following the garlic knots, a small sized pizza was plenty for two of us. With two diet Cokes, our dinner total came to $ 39 — not a budget dinner, but not exhorbitant, either. And even though I had expected better, I’d definitely go back again.

«Sooooo underwhelming… slow service, decent pizza» Son of a Peach Pizzeria has the look of a modern artisanal pizzeria but in reality the pizzas are of the 90 second variety that are made in modern pizza ovens. The edges have large pockets of charred crust(which is good) and the centre is mushy and much less cooked(which was not good). However the overall taste is OK, but definitely not the best pizza around. Also, there’s no variations on the 8 or so pizzas they have and the two sizes or small and large. The«Meatzza» seems to be the popular choice but we went for the Mushroom pizza. To someone that has never tasted Neopolitan type pizza, it might seem like the greatest thing ever. It took almost 30 minutes to get a pizza that usually cooks in 8 – 12 minutes. The interior is divided into two areas; one with a nice bar that looks over the kitchen and a second area in a separate room. The bar is a nice place to sit however in the winter, you get a rush of cold air each time the door is opened. You can choose whatever seat you like but make sure the waitress knows you’re there. So if you’re very hungry and want a good selection of Italian food and pizzas, there are better choices. But if you have some extra time to wait and are looking for a pizza that;‘s a step up from the chain varieties, A Son of a Peach could be good. I imagine it would also be a good place with a large group and a couple of large pizzas. The service was very slow and were it not for the great conversation we were having, we might have forgotten we ordered. The house salad is a very simple collection of different lettuces, kale, beets and some nuts and definitely underwhelming for a $ 14 salad. We didn’t stay for dessert.

Probably one of the best pizzerias I’ve been to. The crust was delicious and crunchy, yet not dry. Tried the small size wild mushroom pizza and the garlic bread as the starter and it was more than enough for stuffing two people. Loved the décor. However the service from one of the waitresses could have been more friendly. That would be the only thing I could see a room for improvement in this place.

I was debating hard on whether to give 4 or 5 stars and I will soon explain why, but let’s start from the beginning. They do not take reservations for small parties but we drove from Mississauga on a foodie adventure and took the chance of a long wait. When we arrived parking was very hard to come by so I went in to put our name down and my boyfriend spent another 15 minutes parking. The restaurant is adorable. It is my favourite kind of atmosphere. It looks like it used to be a house, the décor was very cool, kind of hipster but unique aka the opposite of a chain. It is quite hot and smoky inside, so if you’re going somewhere after expect to smell like a pizza! It took about 25 – 30 minutes to get a table, but the table was right beside the entrance which had a harsh wind blowing in so we ended up sitting at the bar. Please note, after I came in an obscene amount of people came! Refer to the photos, it was insanely packed with people waiting at the door. We got the Ironwood cider to drink, it went really well with all the food, very crisp. For apps we got their house made chips(salt and vinegar) and the jalapeño knots. The chips were great! They’re a root chip but the salt and vinegar made them delicious. The knots were really yummy bread and the jalapeño dip was amazing! It is very spicy and addicting. I would definitely recommend that as a starter. We decided on the fig pizza, and asked to have the prosciutto on the side. Here’s where I wanted to deduct a star. Luckily we sat at the bar because we can watch the food being made. Well they put the meat on the pizza, realized it wasn’t supposed to have the meat on the pizza and pulled it off. I’ve had plenty of screw ups when I modify meals to vegetarian, I’ve gotten sick from places due to this. When they brought it I told the waitress and they apologized profusely and made a new one. It sucks that had we not seen I could have gotten sick, it could be more than just a food restriction it could be religious reasons, allergies etc… so it is always concerning when something like that occurs. With that said the redone pizza was fantastic, the crust is amazing and not soggy in the middle. It cooked up great the next day as well. We both said that we will have to come back and try something else on the menu. Glad to have found this place despite the meat mishap.

Randomly decided to stop in on the way back to Toronto from Niagara Falls… sure glad we did! The garlic knots are definitely a must as a starter! Pizza is pretty fabulous, not too greasy(we got their mushroom one from the menu & added house-made sausage), although judging from the crust, it seems like there may be some hot spots inside the oven(two of the slices seems kinda burnt). They also have a house-made peach tea as well which is a must-try for those that like flavored tea! Service was great, ambiance was great — do stop in if you’re in the area! P. S. Although there is this ginormous picture of a pepperoni pizza on the wall, the restaurant does not offer pepperoni as an available topping. Nor do they offer crushed red peppers(they have some chili oil thing instead that’s pretty good) or grated parmesan cheese.

My fiancé and I came here after a business meeting and we were absolutely exhausted. We wanted some simple food and stopped by Son of a Peach since we’ve never been and were thinking about pizza. We ended up getting a caprese salad in addition to a pizza that had honey on it and went well with the rest of the toppings. The caprese salad was a special of the day and sounded very nice as it consisted of local heirloom tomatoes from Grimsby in addition to fresh buffalo mozzarella from Italy which was apparently fresh in the day before. When it was actually served, I was extremely disappointed. I love caprese salad and have never met one I didn’t like. But I can definitely see why they were featuring the salad as a special of the day. The few slices of tomatoes we got in the salad were mushy, overripe and not pleasant at all. It made the rest of the salad highly unpalatable. The cheese was good but it was not as enjoyable as it should have been due to the unsuitable pairing. In my experience, the cheese should not be more firm than the tomato. The pizza was decent, but nothing more to talk about. The staff were friendly and the chef behind the counter actually striked up a conversation with us which would not be common in your usual run-of-the-mill restaurant. Overall, Son of a Peach is a cute restaurant, but their picks on ingredients leave something be to desired.

I’ve been looking for a go-to pizza place since I first moved to Oakville over 7 months ago. So far previous attempts for some places that seemed like they would be good have disappointed, leaving me without options outside of Hamilton and Toronto. I was a bit hesitant due to the name… What does a peach have to do with pizza anyway? Nonetheless, the good reviews and promising location lured us in. The list of options was a bit limited, though it seems that what they do, they do quite well. I haven’t always liked garlic knots when we’ve tried them in the past, but these were different. They actually came in a bowl that had extra butter and garlic in the bottom so you could drizzle them in a little extra. Yum! They were able to split a large 18 inch pizza between two different types of pizza. I had the fresh mushroom, and my husband had pepperoni. Note here: pepperoni isn’t an available topping on the regular menu(increasing my thoughts that this is a weird pizza joint), but it was on their«special» and hubby was able to get it. All the ingredients seemed fresh and high-quality. The crust seemed a bit uneven and thick compared to the rest of the pizza. Overall, crust was crisp on the outside and softer on the inside, and it was a nice thin crust. It’s definitely the best pizza I’ve had in the area. They have cane sugar bottled soft drinks and beer and wine on tap as well. No real alternative options if you’re looking for a non-soda, non-alcoholic beverage, but I guess water is always healthier anyway. The place a bit of a trendy, modern vibe. The server was friendly enough, but seemed more interested in talking with the guests at the bar, so there were considerable gaps between her visits to our table. The floors around our table were a bit dirty(very noticeable since the restaurant is very bright white on the inside)… Just tried not to look down. Biggest drawback is that it is pretty pricey for a pizza. $ 20s for the smaller size and $ 30s for the large 18 inch. As such, not something to put into the weekly dining rotation, as it was around $ 50 for 2 people for 2 sodas, 1 large pizza, and garlic knots. However, we’ll definitely be back, as long as pepperoni continues to be an option.

It takes a lot to impress me where pizza is concerned. I’m from the pizza capital of Canada. Windsor. Yes, few people even know Windsor is the pizza capital of Canada or why Windsor pizza simply has never been beat. But that’s for another Unilocal review. Son of a Peach seriously, seriously delivers. This isn’t «watch a game» pizza. This is date night pizza. Tables are small, intimate. Service is friendly. From the printed menus, I suspect the pizza offerings change regularly. But I don’t think you could go wrong with any pie here. This place opened about a year ago and they seem to have expanded in that time. They have about 6 great craft beers on tap, too. As another user suggested try the garlic knots as a starter.
