We ended up coming to Table Top as one of our pit stops on our way to NOTL. On a weekday morning, the restaurant was not really busy but the service was a little slow. It did take awhile for our breakfast to arrive but everything we ordered were tasty and made with care. East Coaster($ 11.95) — Smoked Salmon, Fiddlehead, Asparagus, Cream Cheese top with Hollandise Sauce Table Top Tradition($ 4.25) — 2 Eggs with Home Fries Table Top is a good breakfast/brunch spot in Burlington. Worth visiting if you are in the neighbourhood. Ask to sit out in the patio if the weather is nice!

I went with a large group of people(10 or 12) that included some rug rats and the service was one of the best things about having brunch here. The waitresses were top notch and very attentive/friendly. Everybody loved their food and the portions were huge. Overall a very good experience.

I had their breakfast last week. It was horrendous. The size was large(looked like 4 ostrich eggs) but nothing on my plate had flavour. They use low quality ingredients and charge mid-high prices because of the casually upscale atmosphere. If come back of the food was better, but if you mess up breakfast(even the bacon sucked), how am I supposed to trust you with dinner? Use better ingredients TT.

Delicious fresh food and very kind staff. I think this is quiet addictive and you need to watch yourself from over eating…

We planned to venture down to Burlington on a Saturday morning and wanted a nice brunch spot. We were recommended a spot on the lake front, and wanted to try it out, unfortunately they were only serving brunch on Sunday’s. We ended up at Table Top and were happy we did. The décor here is really appealing, there is a nice flow with the bar in the corner and the bar style tables and regular tables throughout the middle of the main seating area. The floor is not usually something that catches my eye, but the slate looking tile around the bar area sure was slick, and goes well with the granite bar top. Even the restrooms were modern and chic the square sinks on top of the counter. I liked the colours they used, it was dark and modern. The service was really friendly and quick. Everyone was tolerant of the kids not really wanting to sit, our server even showed my daughters how the machine get the juice out of the orange. The only problem was my daughters could watch her do it for much longer than she would want. The food was great too, I had the ultimate French toast, my wife the ultimate pancakes. The home fries were cooked to perfection, not too soggy, but not too hard either, the eggs, scrambled would be a difficult order to screw up, by the piece du resistance was the French toast, hands down. I think they put cinnamon in the mix or something. They were awesome none the less. We had a wonderful experience, we were quickly in and out without being rushed by any means. I wish they were located closer to home.

2nd visit and this place is still very good. This time the service was very fast but that’s partly because there was a total of 5 patrons. Ordered a different omelet than last time and noticed it was significantly smaller but still plenty. The plus was, on the 1st visit the home fries were sub par but this time they were excellent. Granted the two times I’ve been here could be considered off peak, 13:30 today(Wed) and around the same time on a Sunday, but both times the restaurant was a near ghost town. This is a good place with fair prices and a cool décor… but I wonder about their longevity with such light customer traffic the 2 times I was there. They must have done some advertising because this place has been very busy the last few times I’ve been on Sundays. I’ve been 4 or 5 times now and has been good to very good most times and fair once. Solid 3 ½ stars, slightly above average.
