Pretty good, the burritos are awesome. The carnitas and barbacoa are good too. The hot sauce isn’t that spicy but adding some tabasco sauce should make it spicy.

One burrito is good for two meals for sure! They are HUGE! Problem is, once you get about ¼ into eating it … it starts to unravel and you end up with burrito guts all over the place. Make sure you have A LOT of napkins! I also love getting the bowls(great for no carb people) PLUS the bowl is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay less messy to eat and JUST as good!!! lots of choices, assembly line style, there is seating available but we usually order it to go. it can get extremely busy at times, however the line moves fairly quickly thanks to how to take the order and pass it down the line until you get to the cashier, pay and go!

I’ve been to other Chipotle’s before including the one in downtown Vancouver and couple of them in states. I realize that it’s a popular joint and hence its crowded and busy. They should have anticipated this from their prior experience in Vancouver and made multiple counters and tills instead of the seating space. Anyways you don’t get a seat when you go so what’s the point of having seating at all. Enough with space and crowd, let’s get to the food. I ordered chicken burrito this afternoon and it was pretty big. The problem is it had everything in abundance, like rice, salsa, beans but hardly 4 – 5 small pieces of chicken. Pretty disappointing. I expect a little spiciness but the burrito lagged any flavor. It was bland. I’ll try something else next time.

Ahhh, Chipotle… my new, one & only, favorite Mexican restaurant! But with some exceptions as following; they are ALWAYS busy, the tofu ‘Sofritas’ more than half the time is OUT, and some times you get ALOT of food or you get too LITTLE. Chipotle at Metrotown gets heavily busy. They should at least have outdoor seating so then people can seat and eat rather then finding a place to eat inside. One thing that gets me ticked off that they don’t even do franchising so opening a new store is a very lengthy process. They should have easier procedures for new restaurants and hopefully then they would have shorter wait times while customers could go to other locations. I understand that Chipotle uses fresh ingredients, freshly cut veggies, made-in-house, cooked, grilled, etc., but when you have to wait so the Sofritas for 20 minutes when your already waiting in line for about 20 minutes gets me pissed off. Are you serious Chipotle, you are going to tell your customer after waiting in line for so long that I have to wait longer for the product I want in my burrito/bowl/quesadillas? Damn, you know how to please your customers… You can have your product prepared in advance. I guess you really need to make it fresh… And the deal with get too little or alot of food is messed up. They should have controlled portion for what type of food there giving. Once they were giving me very little beans, I was hesitant at first to tell the employee but I got over it and told him UPFRONT. You have to TELL the employees when enough is enough or simply put MORE! I can’t stand when you don’t get enough product(‘Sofritas’, beans etc.), plus you are paying $ 10 for this and your not going to tell them that you want more?!? In conclusion, I really love Chipotle but at times it gets frustrating. At the end of the day, you finally get your Chipotle fix!

Believe the hype, folks, because this place is amazing. There’s a reason why there are always a long line-up here, but do not let that discourage you because the workers are efficient in putting your meal together and getting your order ready to go quickly. The burritos here are massive and the guacamole is fresh, so come hungry. You can make your meal how you wish but seeing whole chicken grilled behind the assembly staff is a good sign that they are using real meat and nothing processed. Chipotle prides itself on using real, hormone free ingredients and it’s good to see that it’s true. As mentioned in other posts the clientèle can be obnoxious and because you are in close corners there’s no real way to avoid it. So come in, get your food, and take it to go. So let the people hate, but this place is amazing.

aw… haters gonna hate. I had the most gigantic burrito ever here. The secret is to ask for both brown and white rice, and both types of beans. For $ 8 plus change, this is the best deal in the mall to get full with fresh, tasty food. The lineups are terrible. Avoid coming during the rush. Service is surprisingly slow despite the conveyor belt set up. If this place is packed, move on because it’s not worth the wait. Otherwise, if you luck out, and come during a relatively slow period, it’s awesome. A bit dirty, and the clientele can sometimes be a little obnoxious.

When I heard that there was a chipotle location opening in metrotown I was ecstatic, and I wasn’t disappointed the first, or the many times after that i went. The only bad thing, I would say, are the throngs of people always standing in line. Great mexican food for a price that could be better but is reasonable.

Really, I still dont know what the big hype on Chipotle. I have to say I’m not impressed and not expect to return. At Metro town mall, there is big lineup to order the food. The line up moves quickly. Okey, let’s see what is good: — Fast moving lineup to the counter — Burrito assembly runs quickly with some minor delay. — Burrito is filled with rice, beans, hot source, cheese or sour cream, etc — Interior two sections: Quick byte area where you eat standing or high chairs… the other side is where you can sit down like regular eatery — Sofritas are available at this location(Note, I did not try) Now the critical points: — I am big fan of Mexican spicy food however, food is not spicy at all. — Burrito did not feel any flavourful. — Ordered Chicken Burrito but I only got few pieces of Chicken.(Not Impressed at all) — Price steep, Burrito 8.95 + pop medium size 1.89 = with taxes C$ 11 something. I cant say or comment anything on customer service as it is quite busy place and staff try to move people through quickly.

First time I’ve been to a Chipotle and I have to say I’m not impressed. The people working were nice and friendly but the food was so generic. bland! I ordered a chicken burrito and steak burrito. I had a coupon buy one get one free so it came out to $ 9.40 for 2 so that’s a great deal, for 1, not so much. The burrito came with brown/white rice, very bland, no salt, seasoning just blah, pretty much everything was blah, the lettuce, salsa, beans and protein. No cumin, cilantro, chili powder, salt anything, and not even any refried beans. how is it even considered Mexican? It’s a bland wrap! At least in the States they have Maui Tacos and Wahoo which are really good. I guess one positive is if your’e really hungry it’s quite a substansial size, it was pretty heavy. Anyways, I’m glad I tried it with the coupon so it seemed at least that I got my moneys worth. If i’m ever in the mood for«Mexican» fast food, I’ll probably stick with Chronic or Mucho.

Outstanding customer service!!! Since this location is at Metrotown, the employees endure a non-stop line of customers. And, from what I’ve witnessed, some pretty aggressive and unpredictable customers at that. Despite this, the employees do their job quickly and with a smile. This has earned the location a 5 star rating! The food is what you would expect. It’s a quick and delicious meal option. Standard chipotle menu and quality. Sofritas are available at this location for the vegan /vegetarian crowd :)

Went to try it out yesterday, luckily it wasn’t too busy. Heard this place gets really packed during lunch! Had the chicken burrito with pinto beans, mild salsa, brown rice, lettuce, and corn. The burrito was huge! It was super filling! Friends ordered the guacamole and chips, it’s worth it if you would like something to add to your meal. Friends and I all agreed that chicken is the best. Steak is too dry, not a good choice as it gets dry and chewy. Worth coming back if you are craving something fast and filling!(Given that this place is not packed)

I expect Chipotle to be busy but not slow. The downtown location has line ups but the staff are fast and efficient with serving customers. They had only 2 ppl working the line and by the time I got to the front another person came out to help on the line. The workers may be new/inexperienced but they were slow and thus made waiting in line even longer. The guy doling out the rice and beans was sticking to the one small scoop for beans and rice and I felt like their portions were much smaller than the happy to fill your burrito/bowl staff downtown. The burrito wasnt that bad but it WASN’T the one I ordered. Didn’t notice until i got home to eat it and by then someone else got to eat my delicious burrito. The food court has more options and is faster when you want a bite and more convenient when you are already shopping inside.

This is the closest tasting food that reminds me of my Southern California roots here in Vancouver. I’ve been to both locations here and the food tastes the same as back home. However, this Metrotown locations… I don’t think the employees are too happy working there. I’ve been here at least six times and out of the six times I’ve been here, four times I’ve overheard employees complaining about customers they had to serve. The employees are on a break sitting at the tables right across where they serve food and where customers wait in line. I don’t know how the managers could not hear since they were talking very loud. These employees should not be there if they are that unhappy that customers can hear they are being talked about. Very not cool.

First time visiting Chipotle. I only wanted to try because it’s always packed every time I walked by since it opened. I was surprised to see how little their menu was and it sort of helped me to make my decision rather quickly. I ordered a burrito… WHAT?! NO refried beans?! Fine, I’ll have pinto beans, whatever that is. I was very hungry and I ate few first bites without really tasting. Then I noticed, I don’t like this burrito at all. 1) there’s no refried beans 2) this white pinto beans had no flavour 3) steak is dry 4) why is there no mild option for salsa? 5) most important of all, there was no spark There was more than half of burrito left in my hands and I put it down, decided I don’t want to eat anymore. Maybe I just had a bad luck. So I’ll probably try it again in the future and order different thing, but not coming back for a while for sure. I felt $ 9 for this burrito was bit too much. Service was fine.

I’ve come here three times and it’s a standard Chipotle. No complaints about portion size or quality and it’s definitely a leg up on food court fare. The location is super convenient to the Metrotown SkyTrain station. It has been very busy when I’ve come at times when school is out but weekday middays seem okay.(The downtown Vancouver location on Howe also gets incredibly busy — more locations are warranted!)

Second Chipotle in the lower mainland… first one is just off of Robson St downtown… this one in the Metrotown mall complex(an easy walk from the Skytrain station). Ok… it’s a chain, so things should be the same from location to location… and as I found out… that really holds true… good and bad. The lineup here gets pretty stupid most times… so I’ve just walked by(yes… I know I could use their website, and put an order in there, and bypass the line, but I’m usually looking to eat right away when I’m hungry and motivated… BAM!). This time, the wife and I were walking by, and the lineup wasn’t too bad. So we stopped in. The wife usually gets a bowl, and I get a burrito. The size of these two things is usually the same, just the delivery device is different. I should have looked around and seen that 90% of the people in there were going bowl… and the reason why was that they’re generally getting more food… and not just filler… my wife got mostly meat… tons of it! As a value prospect that adds up a little(your trip and findings could vary of course…). My burrito was pretty stacked with meat while the rice and beans were more scarce(hmm… that doesn’t add up to higher profits… but makes for a happier me). The food was pretty consistent with the taste and such of the downtown location… things went speedily and checked through to the dining area fast(cash and credit only… no debit… odd, credit is usually the odd one out. I guess the debit with the PIN code is what they’re avoiding to keep the lineups rolling). Ok… back to consistency. EVERYSINGLETIME I went to the downtown location it looked like a burrito or bowl was scattered over the floor and every table. The place was always a mess. Not a little mess, but a big hot mess. Every time I’d walked by the Metrotown location… I noticed the same thing… a mess… almost every table dirty… garbage station… dirty… condiment /drink section… dirty. And… my time in there… same thing. There are like 5 – 7 people in front of the service line… one person right next to the check out person was only responsible for asking if I wanted a drink or chips and salsa… could not the register person ask that question and reach back for some chips, and ask the salsa person for a cup of salsa while getting a cup out while waiting for said salsa? After I had finished my meal, and the wife was putting on her finishing touches, a guy came by and cleaned up a table near us(just one)… but there had been 2 other people in and out of that spot before that happened. Yes, it’s a fast food type environment… but I know I just paid a higher than A&W price for that food. and it usually looks a lot better from the window than this place. I think a little more time/money spent on the dining area would go a long ways for people having a better experience here(and the downtown location). Go back again… if the lines dropped and I was ok with the state of the dining room … yes. The food is decent. But… those opportunities may be few and far between… 2 ½ to 3 stars.

I was beyond disappointed after my first(and possibly last) visit at this Metrotown location, which is sad considering they only opened four days ago. I’m no stranger to the salad from Chipotle and is always served a generous portion from the original Downtown location, but I felt ripped off from what I was given this time round. The way Chipotle works is like going down a fast-paced factory line of cafeteria workers. I know that I should be offered pinto or black beans in my salad, but the staff went from putting my lettuce in, straight to the proteins. I assumed that she was going to ask about the beans after but the next staff member was already scrambling to finish my order as soon as the previous one served my protein. I didn’t want to hold up the line so I went along with it and decided to opt for an extra side of guacamole($ 2.20 extra) to compensate my bean-less salad which ended up to be a bad idea. I don’t really know what I was expecting since they already skimped out on my Sofritas, but I was honestly pretty mad about the weak scoop of guacamole that I received. The food itself was not as good as I remembered it to be. Most components were bland from the lettuce, Sofritas, corn, salsa, cheese, and guacamole that I was served. I honestly couldn’t taste anything but the mild salsa. My friend was also disappointed with his steak burrito as everything tasted old, chewy, and stale in his opinion. He added that the staff was unwilling to serve more of the favoured toppings despite the skimpy portions. On another note, some staff members seemed to be uneducated about the basic ingredients served when one of them were about to restock the black beans, or as she worded, «whatever it is». I understand the youthful and fun work environment, but let’s stay professional! My salad ended up being $ 11.75 which I’d rather spend on more quality food. They’re only accepting cash or credit card at the moment.
