It is a conventional place to get your quick chinese food from the likes of wonton noodle soup to the congees. For $ 7 getting wonton noodle soup was a decent deal. The noodles was just basically noodles bought from a store and the wontons(I hope it is handmade), but I am thinking it is store bought for some reason from some store in Crystal Mall. Would I come back? I guess, but there is lots of fast food vendors in this place, that I might as well go to another place to try out.

Tried various things from this place. The congee is «meh» in quality — watery, not flavorful. It does comes with a descent amount of ingredients. The spareribs with black-bean sauce steamed rice is good, big portions, cheap price. The ribs are quite flavorful. Overall I give it an «ok».

Okay, I have a love\hate relationship with this place. We’ll start with the bad, I ordered the chow mein and it tasted bitter! Noodles and meat had no flavour and I don’t know why the noodles were bitter. Second time I ordered the seafood thick rice noodles and found little bits of hair and dust.(Really gross! :S don’t think they’re keen on cleanliness. usually a deal breaker for me.) Also that one time when they charged me for a juice box but forgot to give it to me. But I find myself coming back for the churn fun\rice rolls with XO spicy sauce. Its cheap, filling, delicious, and I just love churn fun. You can add meat to them like fish, scallops, ribs etc. Their congee is not bad either. There is no msg so you’re not dying of thirst later. I just stick to that now whenever I am in the neighbourhood and it hasn’t disappointed.

Just order the J2. DOIT! You won’t regret it. The J2 is the spareribs & chinese sausage on rice. It’s cooked in a claypot so the rice gets crusty and fragrant at the bottom. The pot itself is huge, with loads of rice, topped with a substantial amount of sausage, spareribs and cabbage. Imo, one of the best deals in the food court! Very comparable to a restaurant. Yumm!

Love the hot pot rice dishes. Chicken and salted fish or chicken and sausage are my favourite comfort food when I’m craving some salt. Congee is very good too. Reasonably priced food.

way too much MSG on a simple hot pot Rice. the fish in their porridge, was bad fish. lucky I didn’t get food poisoning, a friend of mine got it a day after I ordered mine. stick with pork if you do order one, and skip the fish. but please, don’t use MSG.

Called them up asking if I could still get congee before they close at 7pm. The said yes. But when I got there at 6:35pm, they said that they were all sold out and they also said that sometimes they sellout at 4pm. I was so angry because over the phone they said that I could still get it before 7. Thanks to Unilocal,I found another place Congee King on Kingsway, which I highly recommend. Even bigger selection than Fung May.

Delicious, hot, and a huge menu of congee! Fung May is located in the Crystal Mall food court and 80% of the time that I actually go into this mall, I order from here. They have a huge menu, but I always end up ordering their congee. I think they have about 15 different flavors. I have yet to try them all, but so far every single flavor I order is great!

I ordered black bean pork ribs rice hot pot. I was a little disappointed that the chunks of pork ribs had more bones than meat. There was a lot of rice and it was lightly flavoured soy sauce. All in all, it wasn’t too bad, but nothing really great. My mom’s cooking is still better.

Delicious hot pot rice! I wish I wasn’t so full with our other Crystal Mall tastings so I could have eaten more. And they actually come in a ceramic/clay hotpot bowl thing that they’re cooked in. We ordered the chicken and chinese sausage rice pot. But I imagine any of the others would have been just as good.

For a small stall in the Crystal Mall food court, they have a ginormous menu! They serve Cantonese comfort food — congee, noodle soups, mixed noodles(lo mein), fried noodles, steamed rice dishes, hot pot rice dishes, fried rice, and rice plates. I actually haven’t tried any of these though. Why? Because their STEAMEDRICEROLLS( ) reign supreme! I get them every time I come to the Crystal Mall food court. They’re really nothing fancy and are quite plain by themselves, though I do love their silky, chewy texture. What makes this dish(and Fung May) a winner for me are the self-serve sauces( ). They have sesame paste, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, hot sauce, chilli paste, and sesame seeds, among others. I eat my rice rolls with A LOT of hoisin sauce and sesame paste(kinda like the Chinese version of PB&J with its balance of sweet and salty), so it’s great not having to ask for more and/or ration my sauces!

i ordered a beef stew with wonton noodle soup and my friend ordered the salty fish and pork rice clay pot the clay pot took a while so we didn’t get our food for a bit. but man, it was yummy when we got it… the beef could have been bigger in portion but the food was good… they put enough salty fish in the rice to make it flavorful. not stingy at all. i would love to try the noodle clay pot someday.

* Another Crystal Mall winner! * The food court at Crystal Mall( ) is not your typical boring chain food court. Hidden in it are such wonders as the xiao long bao from Wang’s Shanghai Cuisine( ), the Want Want Hot & Spicy House’s ziran chao yang rou jiamo( ), and the deep fried chicken knees at Kingspark Good Food( ). My latest discovery is Fung May. Based on watching what people were ordering, my bet is their congee is quite good. But I wasn’t in the mood today, so I tried their«brisket on rice rolls.» What I got was a generous portion of perfectly steamed rice rolls covered in tender juicy pieces of brisket and green onion. This was a lovely little treat for the incredibly reasonable price of only $ 4.50. Ah the joys of Crystal Mall!
