This review is solely based on the customer service at the Gap at Metrotown, Burnaby location. Went there around 11 am on March 2nd, 2015. It was not busy. Was expecting to get some help and none of the employees bothered greeting or acknowledging me. I picked up 8 pairs of clothes and headed to the change room. Nobody there. I proceeded to help myself into the change room since I was in a rush. Needed help with sizing but nobody there. Ended up buying one item and it also felt like they were doing me a favor when I asked if the item was on sale. Worse experience ever. Gap sells quality clothes but if they continue hiring people who couldn’t care less to be there you’ll be going out of business pretty quick! It’s more expensive to get a new customer than keeping one!

I saw my Agri-business professor at the GAP. The conversation went like this: «Oh hi.» «Hi.» “You shop here too?” «Yeah, good sales.» «Yeah.» “Okay.” “I like your blouse.” «Thanks. It’s from here.» «Oh, cool.» Thaaaaaaat pretty much guaranteed me my A in that class.

I went to the Gap ’cause they had a 30% off sale for boxing day on some items. I saw a Neon shirt that I really really liked, however, they only had 1 size and 3 of the buttons were missing. The lady at the til was going to give me an additional 15% off on top of the sale price, however, it would take me more work to put on a new entire set of buttons to match. This review is based on the polite and helpful customer service that was received in attempts to resolve the issue.

It’s disappointing that they don’t have much selection compared to other stores because they’re one of the smaller stores. Selection tends to be a bit limited and sizes tend to be harder to find. Staff are friendly and they’re willing to help finding sizes.
