I originally went down the street to another place to get my eyebrows and legs waxed, but there were 5 other women already waiting. So when I saw this place just a few doors down and no one waiting, I decided to try it. BIGMISTAKE. First, the lady didn’t speak good English and I couldn’t understand her whatsoever. She was of Indian descent(I think). There was some kind of crazy bollywood type of music playing which to me was very annoying. That stuff totally gets on my nerves. Not soothing by any means unless that’s what you’re into. So I’m lying there on the table and she starts to put the wax on my leg. Well anyone who’s ever had their legs waxed or done it themselves, knows that you put the wax on in the direction of the hair growth. Then you rip off the material strip in the opposite direction. This lady takes the little wooden stick with the wax and starts putting it on my leg going up, against the growth. I’m thinking WTF? Ok, give her a chance. Again, on the next strip, she does the same thing. This is weird. A first for me and I’ve been waxing my legs for 20 years now. After doing the front of my right leg, she asks me to turn over. I’m thinking«she hasn’t done the left leg yet.» but I turn over anyways. This time she does actually put the wax on going in the correct direction. She finishes the backs of my legs and I turn over so she can do the front of my left leg. I sit up to exam her work and find one area where she completely missed. She takes the stick with the melted wax and tries to put it on my leg and then rip off the strip. No use. The hair is basically coated with wax and still on my leg. So I grab the stick and tell her that was awful and let me do it myself, which I do. Now the eyebrows. I’m a bit concerned after the leg experience but I let her do her thing. It’s not bad when she’s finished but she does absolutely no tweezing or cleaning up of odd hairs. This is crap! I have to go home now and finish it off myself. The prices here are cheap and I know why: the lady doesn’t know anything about waxing. She did a half-a$$ed job. Not worth the money whatever the low price was. Go down the street to Hair Plus Beauty Salon.
