It is one thing to have conventional sushi, but it is another thing to get some of the most«boring sushi ever.» Here is the thing with this place. So I ordered their salmon and tuna rolls because my sushi meter was getting really low. I kid you not. It was some of the most smallest rolls I have ever seen. I mean I can understand why people would give small portions of sushi because less means more, I get that Japanese philosophy. But there is a fine line between small and it tastes fresh against small and boring. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of it because it was so grotesque, but needless to say, I ate it and it was barely any flavour at all.

Great sushi, super fast no line up, good service. Prices are great lots of clean comfortable seating right there!

Service was a bit slow for something as simple as an avocado cucumber roll, especially when there was barely anyone inside. You huffed when I politely asked for some tea. They were really quick to get me out the door as they gave me the bill before my meal came.

I work in the area and sometimes it is hard to get away to the heights for good quality sushi(Kazu on Hastings). Therefore, I turn to Ichimi as it’s quick and the taste is actually pretty decent for mall sushi. Their sushi combos are not bad, I often result to ordering the sushi combo(1 cali roll, tuna roll and salmon roll) for about $ 11. Or their Cali combo(1 cali roll, half tuna roll, half kappa roll) for $ 7. I’ve tried other things too such as their scallop roll(not bad) and their spicy roll combo(spicy tuna roll, spicy scallop, and one other roll I forgot). I wouldn’t come here expecting grade A sushi but it does it’s job. I’ve yet to get sick here too so that’s a plus! Service is mediocre. I’ve never seen employees or the owner smile here but not a huge deal.

I was surprised to find this sushi resto in the Brentwood Mall food court. It’s basically on the other side of the main food court, near Purdy’s Chocolates. I got the Ichimi Combo. It was fairly priced, quite fresh, and delicious. I was impressed by the bang for the buck.

I live in the neighborhood and go to this place often for lunch. It is so reasonably priced, and the fish is very fresh. As is the rice. I have found the service terrific and efficient. I love sushi and I love a good price. But I won’t go to any sushi place. Call me silly, but I prefer Japanese sushi chefs. These fellows seem solid in their craft. Being in the«not yet trendy-fied» Brentwood Town Centre mall, they serve us ordinary folk with ordinary prices. And I have ordered party plates from them. They made them fresh, on the spot, and with panache. I have never been disappointed and hope they stay even after Brentwood mall gets the threatened rebuilding, renovating, price inflating, big box store rent type upgrading. Sorry, Whole Foods sushi does not compare! These folks are pros.

Meh, if you are looking for a healthier lunch than what’s offered in the food court, than this is a good option. But, it is about double the price than other sushi joints and the rolls are very average.

This is the only place to get sushi at Brentwood mall. The price is average and food wasn’t bad. I ordered tuna maki, salmon maki, chopped scallop nigiri and tomago nigiri. All were nice and cold, but the I found the chopped scallop the best. The tuna maki didn’t look appealing, but tasted fine. There’s free tea on the side and you can help yourself as well.
